Shen Heyu left the company, and from a distance, she saw Pei Yansi's car parked at the side of the road.
She walked over, and as she approached, the car door opened, revealing Pei Yansi sitting inside.
Shen Heyu got in,
and Pei Yansi, as usual, pulled her into his embrace, "Why did you come so late today?"
Shen Heyu said, "There was something at the company."
"What happened?" he asked.
Shen Heyu felt he was feigning ignorance, her brows furrowed as she scrutinized his face intently to discern if he was pretending, but his expression was normal, and nothing seemed amiss. She had no choice but to ask, "Did you have something to do with what happened to Shao You?"
"Of course not."
After Pei Yansi finished speaking, he quietly watched her, calmly meeting her gaze as if he wasn't afraid of being suspected.
Of course, Shen Heyu didn't really believe him.
She sat in his arms without saying a word, nor did she make a move.
Pei Yansi said, "What are you thinking about?"
