Tonight was my adult party night. I'm most excited about one thing: tonight, I finally get to announce that Justin is my boyfriend.Justin and I have been dating for a few months now, but we've been keeping it on the down-low
So far it's over. Frankly, I would have preferred to make our relationship public right away - he's one of the most handsome and popular guys on campus and a member of the lacrosse team - but he insisted on waiting until the right time to go public with our relationship. "I want to save this for a special night. Baby," he told me.
Maybe he's right; a special point in time means he really loves me, right?
As I stood in front of the mirror admiring myself, I was sure Justin would announce our relationship tonight.
I picked out a sexy red lingerie set. Wearing it under my jacket. Tonight would be our first night. I was ready to stop being a virgin.
For the party, I wore a tight skirt that showed off my thighs, a pink revealing top and high heels. I felt a little embarrassed to wear something like that. Normally I would just wear jeans and a hoodie.
But my roommates Jessica and Rolie insisted that I dress up for the party. The only thing I kept the same tonight was my hair, black bangs and two long braids. I've always worn my hair this way and never liked it any other way. I've been told it's childish, but I think it's a cute and practical look.
"You look so sexy, Nina!" said Jessica as I walked out of the room. "Men must throw themselves at you!"
I never mentioned anything about Justin to my friends. Even my own roommate didn't know about our relationship.Rolie looked at her phone and took another big swig of beer. "Everyone should be here soon." She said in a low voice, Rolie was the quintessential "goth girl" on campus, her personality contrasting with Jessica's spunky nature and my studious attitude. But somehow, the three of us were the best of friends.
Just then, the door burst open and the first guests arrived. A bunch of boys and girls poured in
They were carrying cases of beer, yelling and screaming, excited for the party.Jessica grinned.
As I stood awkwardly in the center of the room, I turned on the music and started greeting people.Rolie walked over to the couch and sat down and started browsing her phone.
Soon the suite was filled with people. Music was playing and the LED lights were flashing in color. Guests start getting drunk and playing games. The most attractive items here are probably beer and ping pong. The boys were having a game at the ping pong table.
The party went on for a while and Justin finally arrived. I was so excited. However he didn't come over to me to say hello.
He just walked straight to the table tennis table and joined the game. In between games, I texted Justin, "Can we have to announce our relationship now?" I watched from the corner as he pulled out his phone, read the text, and then put it back in his pocket.
He looked at me and shrugged slightly before going back to his game like he didn't even know me.
"Are you okay?" Jessica said walking towards me with a beer in her hand. I shrugged and drained the bottle of beer. "I'm just not much of a party person, that's all."
Jessica pouted her lips and handed me another beer. "You just need a little liquid courage, that's all!"
She said, clinking her glass with my bottle and taking a big swig. I looked down at my beer and cringed.Jessica was right, but beer didn't seem like the most helpful thing.
"How about vodka?" I said.Jessica's eyes lit up. She turned to the crowd and yelled, "Everyone! Our Nina is going to take shots!"However, by the time I got to the seventh shot, I started to feel dizzy and nauseous.
I went down the hallway to the restroom. When I was done throwing up, I stood up and walked over to the sink and kept splashing cool water on my face. I tried to take a few deep breaths to clear my head.
I looked at my messy self in the mirror and tried not to cry.
Why is he treating me like this? Just a few days ago we were making out behind the field hockey rink and now he's acting like he doesn't even know me.
Was he just nervous about announcing our relationship, or was it something else?
I took another deep breath and wiped the tears from my face. I straighten up and decide to go talk to Justin.
Justin, however, had disappeared. "Hey, have you seen Justin?" I asked a girl. She just shrugged and pointed to my bedroom.
OK, Fine. maybe he just went in to be alone for a while so we'd have time to talk.
I drunkenly walk through the crowd to my room.
However, when I opened the door, I realized Justin wasn't alone in my bed. He was with another girl. I recognized her immediately. The girl had platinum blonde hair and a skinny body-it was Lisa, the cheerleader. They were cuddling together and having sex on my bed.
"Fuck!" I screamed. The party went silent. Someone quickly turned off the music. justin and Lisa sat up on my bed. When he saw me he jumped up and pulled up his pants. "Nina, things aren't what they seem," he said, stumbling towards me while Lisa just giggled and stood up and put on her panties and smoothed her skirt. She strutted out of the room.
As I continue to stare at Justin in shock and disbelief, Justin stammers and tries to explain himself. "I'm sorry, I-"
"Justin ......," I interrupted, my voice shaking. "We, Are, Done," I turned around and angrily walked out of the bedroom.Jessica and Rolie yelled my name behind me. I walked out of my dorm and then decided to walk in the direction of the town. I walked for a long time until I finally got to a local bar. The bartender poured me a rum and coke and I nodded gratefully.
I pulled my cell phone out of my pocket and saw that I had a few missed calls and "Where are you?!?" The text messages.
But I ignored the messages and just threw my phone on the bar and took a long sip of my drink.
"You did the right thing. The truth is I hate my phone too," a man suddenly walked up to me. He was wearing a red facecloth shirt and had curly brown hair. He was also very strong.
"I hate everything about it right now," I say, and swirl my drink in my glass with a straw.
"Why?" The boy looked at me.
Just then, I realized with shock: this guy was Enzo. he was Justin's lacrosse captain, the star of the whole school. He was every girl's dream guy.
And yet he was now sitting next to me, in this quiet bar, talking to me.
