Chapter 133

Morning in the Dining Hall

The golden rays of the morning sun filtered through the tall windows of the dining hall, casting a warm glow on the room. Magnus was seated beside me, his expression soft and full of adoration as he gently fed me spoonfuls of porridge. My body was still weak, but moments like these made me feel like I was recovering faster.

Mom sat across from us, a serene smile on her face as she watched Magnus's attentiveness. Owen, on the other hand, was busy devouring a plate piled high with food, occasionally glancing at me with concern.

Despite the warm atmosphere, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. I hadn't seen Regan or Fergus since I woke up, and that wasn't like them. Just as I was about to voice my thoughts, the dining hall doors creaked open.
