In the Principal's office:
Marshal Price, a commoner who challenged the continent's top knights to come to the position he is now, principal of the Excalibur Academy.
"So you should have brought some bodyguards, people still remember the battles that happened."
His father Ragnar United the sailors of the Styrbjorn islands and used to battle with the kingdom and although now they have made a peace agreement, people haven't forgotten what happened years ago.
" Yeah well I didn't know people still remembered"
"Most of the people here are veterans and people have lost loved ones to the gruelling war. Its not that easy to forget"
They remained silent for a second after that and the principal continued
"Alright, we will not tell anyone about your surname or who your father is. But other than that whatever reputation you earn is yours"
"Alright " he told as they both stood.
" Thanks for that" as they shook hands , a sudden pressure seemed to be applied on Rick.
But he seemed unfazed as he looked back into the Principal's eyes.
"Interesting" thought the principal and he increased the force applied.
The kid remained calm through the entire ordeal
"I will be going then" but as he walked away
"Go directly to the admission office and give them this" as he tossed him , what appeared to be a seal.
"What is this?"
"Don't want to waste your time anyways, you will most probably be bored by the entrance test anyways, also if you come first we have to announce your name at the stadium. You don't want that "
"Will they allow me tho, isn't the academy more serious about admission matters ."
as he trailed his speech
" Don't worry too much , I'm the principal, I make the rules anyway", the guy said as he urged him to go.
In the admission office:
The receptionist inside seemed conflicted as he registered the candidate in front of him to the academy. He was never able to understand the principal. First admitting someone without entrance and that too a person with that surname.
"Alright these are your dorm room keys. Although you will normally assigned rooms according to your exam rankings, this time I have given you a room given for someone around top 50s."
He said "Thank you " as he got the keys and started moving away.
The receptionist watching him walk away gathered his mana as he applied a certain pressure on the kid.
As he watched him walk away as if nothing happened , he understood to a level why he was allowed without entrance. It seemed he had to make a report to the royal family.
