Playful days (Part 7)

The same first night of the festival in Elesis fort. Meily's mother Leiny is preparing for Meily's return.

"She's taking so long, the food will become cold… I wonder what happened?"

Worried she stood up from her sit and look toward the window. Looking from the window she notices lights coming from the park.

She then remembers that this week is the week-long festival held every year. She is bedridden for two years she forgets about it.

"I think Meily will take a while before coming back. But Mayu is with her I guess it's okay to let them play and enjoy the night."

Lainy smiled and as she turns head glance around her. Eriko the girl the treated illness her appeared out of nowhere. Not, even a single sound was heard.

"The kind healer. What makes your visit here?"

"I'm here to continue the next phase of my experiment experiment."

Eriko said.

All of a sudden a sharp whip made of blood strike Leiny piecing her heart.

After the festival, Meily came home. She then sees her mother drenched in blood lying in the ground. Meily was stunned in shocked and put her hands to her mouth.

"Mother…"

The crystal-like stone Eriko gave to Meily became pure violet.

Eriko appeared and said:

"Your mother is such a kind mother, but there are people who really hated your mother and do this horrible stuff."

"Did you see the people who did this?"

Asked Meily.

"Nope, I plan to visit you but when I arrived your mother is already dead. She was stabbed to her heart many times and the suspect might have a deep grudge and jealousy toward your mother. Meily did you know someone like that?"

Meily bites her lips with anger. Blood flows from her lip and she said:

"Those grown-ups."

The first thing that came to her mind is the people that look down on them. People that hated them and always gossip about them.

Raging with anger and thirst for revenge. Meily immediately gets a magic wand from her cabinet.

"What you're going to do?"

"I will kill them."

"That won't be enough, those grown-ups are skilled magic users than you. Do you think you can kill them with those simple magic that you can use?"

"Then tell me what should I do! Tell me Eriko! Will you help me kill those people?"

"Of course, I don't like seeing kind people being stepped by other people. People in my eyes are all equal. They crossed the line now. Came over to the forest I will grant you the strenght to punish evil and serve justice…"

 ...

Meanwhile in the middle of the night. Marry and Rin was called to help another adventurer in defeating the monster.

"This monsters how in the world they got here?"

Said Rin.

Rin then cast ice magic. The ice takes the form of a sword and fired toward a pack of monsters.

"This low leveled monsters what are they doing here? Looking closely this monster is not the monsters living near the Elesis fort. Feels like someone set up these monsters… Also, have you seen monster like this… Most of these monsters are like stitched together from different type of monsters…"

Said, Marry.

Marry then cast heal to the adventurers fighting the monsters. Adventurers can defeat the monsters easily but the number of these monsters is more than enough to be called an army. The adventurers are getting exhausted in fighting and their MP is draining. Marry who constantly supports the adventurers by casting healing magic is near her limits.

"It's like there no ending to them."

Said Captain Yuri with Mello beside her.

Mello gets his magic weapon and attacked the monsters. Mello uses a special weapon enhance with magic. One swipe of his special weapon destroyed hundreds of monsters.

"Special weapon: Destruction Axe."

Rin seeing Mello attack the monster with ease makes her adore him more.

"My Mello, you really are reliable."

"Come on, even Mello have cute faces and manly features. We all know that he likes boys."

"Don't remind me! It's depressing."

Captain Yuri then draw her sword. Her sword glows in bright colors.

"Captain is doing it."

"Stay away or else you will be caught."

Marry shouted to the adventurers. The adventurers then retreated behind Captain Yuri.

"Sword skill: Heavenly strike."

Swing her sword downward, Captain Yuri manages to make a large-scale attack that wipes out the monsters.

The adventurers were stunned to the seen they saw and after recovering. They started to cheer up and celebrate.

"Hooray! Captain Yuri sure is the best!"

"The strongest swordsman in Elesis Fort."

While others are celebrating Captain Yuri remained serious and focus. Her glance was not removed from the battlefield. The cloud of dust started to vanish. A giant hybrid monster appeared in front of them.

It's a giant wolf with the tail of a snake, scales of a dragon, and blade-like fangs. Its eyes were in golden color.

The wolf makes a powerful howl.

The sound of the howl is sharp enough to destroy the eardrums of the adventurers in the near area. With their eardrums destroyed, the adventurers scream in pain. Meanwhile, Captain Yuri used enhancement magic to protect herself.

"Marry, Rin escort all the injured adventurers back in the fort. Mello, can you blast this monster away with your special weapon?"

"I can blast it off, but I'm sure that attack can't break through those thick scales."

"It's fine, our top priority here is the Fort. I can't let this monster came any closer to the fort. I also don't want to hold back…"

Captain Yuri said.

"That's our captain."

Mello the cast enhancement magic to himself and charge toward the wolf monster. The wolf monster attack using his huge claws, but Mello avoided its attack by spin dodging. Mello reaches the right distance and then he swings his Axe with all his power.

"Special weapon: Destruction Axe!"

The wolf monster was then blasted far toward the mountains located in the monster area forest.

The blast was so powerful it created a straight path to the mountain.

Captain Yuri followed the wolf monster quickly.

"Time for monster hunting."

Captain Yuri said and make a fighting stance with her sword.

The body of the wolf started to glow in green colors and its injuries healed. The wolf stands up as nothing happened.

"My MP is already half after using Heavenly strike. This will be troublesome. I have no choice but to use my ability."

Yuri then walked closer to the monster with fearless eyes.

The wolf first attack using its snake tail. The snake then multiplies to five more heads. Yuri dodges the snakes and jumps high up in the sky. The wolf then blasted fire from its mouth.

Unable to dodge from mid-air. Yuri slice down the flame with her sword.

"That won't work. I can slice anything."

The wolf's dragon scale started to vibrate and the sound it produces makes a shock wave in the area. The sand in the mountain became a cloud of dust making a smokescreen delaying Yuri's vision.

Yuri sliced the space again and make the smokescreen disappeared.

"Space slicer!"

The wolf charge in front of Yuri and close rage blasted another fire breath.

Yuri avoided lethal damage but her shoulder got burned.

"This monster has intelligence."

"... Kill… Kill.. Kill the strong one… Meet my family…"

The wolf monster muttered.

"This monster can even talk. This monster is no ordinary. I need to be more cautious. It can heal, it even has a mind to use its skills."

Yuri charges toward the monsters and attacks it using a chain of sword attacks.

The wolf monsters eye's glow in golden color and dodges every attack Yuri throws.

This is weird, my attack and judgment are predicted.

Yuri made a distance between her and the monsters.

"Those golden eye's could it be the reason."

My severer indeed consumes a small amount of MP. But if this goes on I will fall. I need to do something on those eyes.

"Kill… Kill.."

"You like killing so badly… Sorry but that's not going to happen."

This skill will consume my MP and make me fall to the ground. But I have no more choice.

"Ultimate sword magic: Swords of execution."

Thousand of swords magically appeared from the thin air surround the wolf monster in all directions. Even with gleam eye's the future is already set in stone.

With Yuri's command, the swords are fired toward the wolf, piercing its body a thousand times.

Yuri after casting her ultimate magic lost all her MP and lost control of her body.

"I will fall…"

Before falling Marry caught her.

"That was reckless."

"I have no choice, It's my job to protect this land."

"Still, you make me worried you stupid."

After that, Marry uses her magic to heal Yuri and they go back to the fort.

…

Meanwhile, In Eriko and Meily's location in the forest.

"Seems like there are people in this place capable of defeating that hybrid."

"Hybrid?"

Meily was confused about Eriko's monologue.

"Don't mind me, it's not important. The important thing is you gaining the strenght to avenge your mother."

"Yes."

"Give me your arm." Meily follows. Eriko pulls a sringe filled with dragons blood. Normal reaction for a kid in Meilies age.

"...Don't fear this won't hurt… This will hurt like ants bite."

Meily trust Eriko's words.

The blood mixed with meilyis blood. The dragon blood corupted meily leading for her to release a scary scream of pain. Voilet vein runs all over her body and her eyes bleed on blood.

Eriko claps her hands in excitement.

"This is it… The potion that I gave you was a success… Its taming the dragons blood. My experiment will finally shows its results!"

Meily's then started moving back into the fort with a terrifying expression on her face.
