Chapter: Chaos Domain

A few moments after his conversation with Hinata, Josuke lay on his bed, eyes closed, deep in meditation. His goal was simple but daunting: to project his subconscious into the Chaos Realm. This was his first attempt, and to put it lightly, it was a nightmare.

Six frustrating hours passed. Six hours of failed attempts, mental exhaustion, and cursing under his breath. But finally finally he felt something shift. The world around him twisted, bent, and shattered like glass reforming into a completely new image. He had done it. He was in.

The Chaos Realm was… familiar, yet foreign. He had been here before, but something felt different. The twisted landscapes, the ever-changing skies, the eerie, almost melodic whispers in the air it all looked the same. But something about it made his skin crawl in a way it never had before.

As he ventured forward, his gaze fell upon a massive mansion standing in the center of the realm. A grotesque yet majestic structure, built as if the very fabric of existence had unraveled and reformed to create it. Without a doubt, Chaos was inside. He could feel it.

With cautious steps, Josuke approached the entrance and pushed open the grand doors. The interior was surreal, shifting between a lavish estate and a nightmarish landscape of writhing shadows. But what caught his eye immediately was the throne crafted from countless bones, some still twitching as if clinging to life.

"Welcome, Josuke," a voice echoed from the hall. He knew that voice. But something was off.

The sound of heels clicking against the marble floor followed. Josuke turned his head, expecting the usual ominous figure of Chaos, the literal meaning of the end. Instead, what emerged from the darkness nearly made his brain short-circuit.

A woman. No a nightmare wrapped in an absolutely unfair amount of attractiveness.

Long, flowing black hair. Crimson, blood-red eyes. Flawless, porcelain skin adorned with intricate black markings. A Japanese-style robe, just revealing enough to tease but not enough to be indecent. And, of course, that ever-present, mischievous grin that Chaos always had, regardless of form.

Josuke's brain struggled to process. This was Chaos. But not the Chaos he remembered. His mouth opened, then closed. Then opened again. "Who… who the hell are you?"

Chaos smirked. "Take a guess."

And just like that, she vanished, reappearing with effortless grace as she lounged upon her bone throne.

Josuke pointed awkwardly. "What in the name of existence did you do to yourself?! Why do you look like that?!"

Chaos leaned forward, resting her chin on her palm. "You like what you see?" she teased, tilting her head slightly.

Josuke, for one brief, unfortunate moment, let his eyes wander before snapping back to reality. He quickly cleared his throat, regaining his composure. "That's not the point! Why did you hurt Silver?!"

Chaos, completely ignoring his question, flicked her wrist. A shadowy creature, previously painting her nails, vanished into thin air. She examined her freshly polished claws with interest. "Because I felt like it. Is that all you came here to ask?"

Josuke clenched his fists. "That's not an answer."

Chaos sighed dramatically. "Fine, fine. But if you're going to talk to me, at least look me in the eyes, not at my boobs. Pick one, you simp."

Josuke's face burned. "I AM NOT A SIMP!"

Chaos's grin widened. "My eyes are up here, dumb child."

Josuke groaned, rubbing his temples. "Just answer my first question! Why do you look like… that?!"

Chaos let out a long, exaggerated sigh. "I got tired of looking like an eldritch abomination all the time. This form suits me better. Plus, it's hilarious watching you try to function."

Josuke scoffed. "You mean you got tired of looking like a nightmare? You're literally the embodiment of the end! You don't just get tired of something."

Chaos shrugged. "I do whatever I want. That's kind of the point of being, you know, Chaos."

Josuke groaned. "You are insufferable."

Chaos stretched her arms lazily. "Mmmhmm. And yet, you keep coming back."

Josuke exhaled, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "Look, I just need to understand what's happening. Why did you attack Silver? Why change your form? What are you planning?"

Chaos studied him for a moment before flashing a wicked grin. "Oh, dear Josuke, you assume I have a plan. That's cute."

Josuke's eye twitched. "You always have some kind of goal, even if it's just screwing with people."

Chaos laughed, standing up from her throne. "Perhaps. But right now? Right now, I want to take a bath. So unless you plan on watching, I suggest you get lost."

Josuke choked on his own spit. "W-WHAT?!"

Chaos smirked as she loosened the tie on her robe ever so slightly. "Oh? You seem flustered, Josuke. Didn't realize you were such a prude."

Josuke spun around so fast he nearly gave himself whiplash. "I'M LEAVING!"

Chaos chuckled as he stormed out, face bright red. "Bye-bye, simp."

With that, Josuke jolted awake from his meditation, face still burning. He buried his head into his hands.

" screw that chaos. Dumb chaos calling me a simp."

Somewhere in the Chaos Realm, a certain choas grinned, knowing full well how she had annoyed him as she laughed her voice echoed .
