Chapter 19 Dangerous

  "What's that sound?!"

Ronan's expression tightened, his eyes changed for a while, and finally he walked step by step towards the direction where the sound came from.

Curiosity is human nature, especially now that Ronan's physical strength and cultivation have both increased and his self-confidence is overflowing.

It's harder than climbing to the sky to hold him down and stop him from watching the fun.

"Take a look. Just take a look...see what made the sound, and leave immediately!"

Ronan kept reminding himself in his heart that he was still a little scared after all.

But sometimes it's like this, the more scared you are, the more you want to figure out the source of the fear.

Ronan tried his best not to make any sound.

The deerskin boots stepped on the soft and wet mud, occasionally making a slight sound of dead branches breaking.

Pushing aside a patch of dark green bushes, Ronan saw a scene.

He saw a devastated open space, with broken and fallen trees, blown-away grass, and potholed ground everywhere.

A man was lying straight on a charred and cracked stone, with dark red, thick, spurted blood all around his body. His entire chest was completely opened, with streams of green smoke coming out of it. It was obvious that he was deader than dead.

About ten meters away from the corpse, a pale man with a red mole on the left wing of his nose was leaning against a tree and breathing heavily.

The strong smell of blood and burnt smell mixed with the smell of fermented and rotting leaves under his feet kept entering Ronan's nasal cavity, stimulating his originally calm blood to slowly speed up its flow.

The traces of energy particles remaining in the air and the attire of the two people on the scene indicated that a fierce wizard battle had just taken place here.

The exact reason is unknown, but judging by the current situation, it is obviously over.

"I'm afraid these two are both mid-level or even advanced wizard apprentices."

Ronan's heart was beating fast. As he thought about it, he tiptoed back along the same path.

He had no intention of picking up any bargains.

Normally, this kind of thing shouldn't even be watched.

However, Ronan did not feel any regret. He had seen this kind of thing twice, and this time the performance was much better than last time.

For a moment, Ronan thought that it was a good thing to encounter such a thing occasionally. At least it could let him experience the cruelty of the wizarding world and put a damper on his growing self-confidence.

Just after taking a few steps back, new changes suddenly occurred on the field.

Ronan stopped and looked towards the field curiously.

He saw that the surviving wizard seemed to have recovered now, his lips were moving, and there were obvious fluctuations of energy particles around him, obviously he was casting a spell.

"After killing someone, are you planning to destroy the body?"

Ronan thought randomly in his mind.

As a result, the next moment, a cold and sinister gaze suddenly locked onto him.

  "go!"

The wizard who was chanting the spell uttered short, rapid sounds, raised his hand and waved it. A huge burning fireball appeared out of thin air, wrapped in layers of heat waves, and rushed straight towards Ronan.

  "Grass!"

Ronan, who was locked in a murderous aura, felt his hair stand on end instantly and a chill ran through his heart. Only then did he realize that he had already been exposed.

Without even bothering to curse, he turned around and ran away without hesitation.

  "Boom!"

A blazing fireball exploded behind him, and the flames that erupted instantly ignited the surrounding bushes and grass.

Ronan rolled on the ground and narrowly avoided the powerful fireball. He touched his back with an ugly look on his face and felt his hands were slippery.

It didn't hurt much, but my back felt hot and I guess I got burned.

Looking up, he saw the wizard who had just thrown the fireball was now strolling towards him.

As he walked, he continued to chant the spell and glanced at Ronan coldly, his eyes full of coldness and contempt.

Ronan didn't care about anything else. He gritted his teeth, got up and continued running.

After running a few steps, he once again felt the clear fluctuations of energy particles coming from behind him. His scalp tingled and he took a few steps forward and jumped onto a tree. Waiting for the heat wave behind him to hit him, he timed his move and kicked hard on the tree trunk, then rushed in another direction.

  "Bang!"

  "Crunch, crunch—"

The burning trees groaned loudly, slowly falling down, and in the blink of an eye they turned into a charred pile.

Ronan didn't even bother to take a breath, and immediately lunged forward and rolled over,

  "Bang!"

The third fireball almost brushed past Ronan's head.

"If it weren't for the physical breakthrough...I would have died several times!"

Ronan growled in his heart as he ran away, then turned around and felt like crying.

If it wasn't for the physical breakthrough, he wouldn't have come here and encountered such a thing.

After the third fireball, Ronan ran for a while and suddenly found that there was no movement behind him.

He wanted to stop and take a look at the situation, but he was worried that if he turned around, he would hit another fireball and might be killed.

"Running away is not a solution. The wizarding world has plenty of ways to follow the trail and find me.

Since this guy has decided to kill me, he will definitely not give up easily."

After thinking it over, Ronan gritted his teeth and simply stopped.

Then he walked back step by step.

"That guy just finished a big battle, and it was a hard-fought victory.

His strength definitely hasn't fully recovered yet, and this is probably when he is at his weakest.

If I wait until he recovers, I will be completely dead."

Ronan's eyes flickered as he analyzed quickly in his mind, unknowingly quickening his pace.

He admitted that there was an element of gambling on his part, but he was just a mere third-level wizard apprentice, facing an opponent who was clearly much stronger than him. If he gambled, there was still a chance, but if he didn't, he would just have to find a place to wait for death.

Thinking of this, a trace of determination flashed across Ronan's face, and he pulled out the dagger he was carrying with him.

He chanted a spell quickly, and as energy particles flowed in the air, a thin layer of light gradually covered the surface of the shiny dagger.

  [Charge Weapon]

Ronan held the "charged" dagger in his backhand, hid it in his robe, and walked forward step by step with a serious expression.

He only knows two spells, and although [Charged Weapon] is useless, its power is extremely average.

But with his current physical fitness, he should be able to exert some combat effectiveness.

After walking for a while, Ronan saw the trace of the wizard who was chasing him again.

This guy was standing there, holding a bottle of unknown potion in his hand and slowly pouring it into his mouth.

Although Ronan didn't know what the other party drank, he could guess with his heels that it must be a recovery potion.

The situation was just as he had guessed!

Ronan couldn't help but feel refreshed.

But it seems that the situation is still not optimistic.

Because the wizard saw Ronan go and come back, his weak side was exposed in front of Ronan, but there was no panic or tension on his face, and the look in his eyes when he looked at Ronan became more and more mocking and disdainful.

  "Nima!"

Ronan was a little scared and nervous before, but now when he saw the way the other person was looking at him, the frustration in his heart turned into anger and he was no longer afraid.

With a determined heart, he rushed towards the other party.
