Chapter 37 Venisia (Thanks to the Silver Alliance Leader for his slashing sword)

The visitor turned a deaf ear to old Wells's cries.

The black-robed wizard following behind old Wells and the other two laughed coldly when he saw someone arriving.

"I didn't expect my luck to be so good. I was able to collect all the gray wizard scalps required for the mission in one go... That's really great."

When old Wells heard the sinister laughter, he became so anxious that sweat broke out on his face.

He was well aware of the strength of his fellow visitors.

Although he was a mid-level wizard apprentice, he had reached that level entirely by taking drugs in just a few months.

Usually, apart from studying runes, he is obsessed with body training and has never practiced any magic. He is too young and is far from reaching the age where he can perfectly transform his mental power into combat effectiveness.

And even if they reach that state, the Black Robe, who emerged from conspiracy and bloodshed, is not something that wandering wizards like them who have no proper inheritance and no special training can deal with.

It is possible that your strength is obviously one or two levels higher than that of the opponent, but in a fight, your life can be easily taken away.

Old Wells had seen too many similar examples during the invasion of the black witch land that he had experienced when he was young.

"Hurry up and let Ronan take you away!"

Old Wells made up his mind, pushed away Vinicia and Cheryl, and turned around to greet the black-robed wizard behind him.

Cheryl's heart-wrenching cry suddenly rang out, and old Wells' heart trembled constantly.

The next second he made a resolute decision, took a deep breath, endured the pain, and began to recite the spell quickly.

However, before Old Wells could utter a few syllables of the spell, an inexplicable energy wave rose up behind him.

The terrifying sound of breaking air came from far away.

Old Wells saw the black-robed wizard in front of him who was originally looking at this side with a sneer on his face suddenly changed his face as if he had seen a ghost, and without saying a word he turned around and ran away.

At this moment, something passed quickly over the head of old Wells. The whistling wind blew up the robe on old Wells like a sail, and his white hair fluttered.

  "Boom!"

A huge, dark blue, almost black energy ball quickly hit the fleeing black robe, blasting out energy aftermath visible to the naked eye. The surrounding grass and trees were all shaking, and leaves were falling down

  "Shua——"

A figure quickly ran past old Wells and ran quite skillfully to the deep pit where the black-robed wizard disappeared. He rummaged through the debris on the ground for a while, picked up a few things and quickly stuffed them into his arms.

After doing all this, the man walked towards them.

He walked up to them, looked at the three of them, a look of relief on his face, and then asked.

"Oh, by the way, where's Jacob? Isn't he with you?"

Old Wells stared blankly at the young, handsome, familiar yet extremely unfamiliar face in front of him. He opened his mouth subconsciously... but couldn't utter a word.

"I looked around but couldn't find anyone? He's not at home either."

Ronan frowned slightly, and after weighing the pros and cons, he finally decided: "Forget it, leave him alone."

The forest is now full of dangers, with black robes and monsters roaming around at the same time. It is impossible for him to take others on the adventure just for a missing Jacob.

When he raised his head, the three men, Old Wells and the others, whom he had just rescued, were still staring at him with shocked and astonished eyes.

In fact, it was mainly old Wells. Old Wells was the closest to him, so after he showed his strength, he was naturally the one who suffered the greatest impact.

Ronan suspected that before this, in old Wells' mind, he might still be the second-level apprentice, the fat boy who ran and exercised every day to get rid of the problem of energy particle erosion.

  "Are you hurt?!"

Ronan noticed the grim look on old Wells' face.

  "Hit by a spell"

Old Wells said, "It's okay. I won't die."

Ronan thought about it and leaned down, "Come, I'll carry you."

Old Wells hesitated for a moment, but finally lay on Ronan's back.

  "Thank you, Ronan."

Hearing old Wells's mixed gratitude, Ronan shook his head and picked up little Cheryl.

Ever since he reached proficiency in [Austerity Body Tempering], his strength has become incredibly great. He didn't know how he compared to a regular knight, but Ronan himself thought it was quite exaggerated.

The weight of the two people, an old man and a child, was no burden to him at all.

Take a few people and return in the direction you came from.

After running for a while, Ronan suddenly noticed that Venisia in the team was not keeping up.

When I ran back, I saw that Venisia seemed to be in a bad condition.

Ronan reached out and pulled the hem of her robe, and saw that one of her ankles was swollen like a steamed bun, and he had no idea when it was sprained.

"Why didn't you tell me you were hurt?"

  Ronan couldn't help but frown.

Venetia bit her lip, lowered her head and said nothing, like a child who had made a mistake and was being scolded.

"Forget it, come up too! You're not the only one left."

Seeing her like this, Ronan didn't know what to say anymore. He simply reached out and picked up Venisia, holding her in his other arms.

Venetia's shy resistance was like a tickle to Ronan, but he was slightly startled by another point.

Ronan discovered that Venetia had a pretty good figure!

It is usually covered by the loose and baggy wizard robe, so it is really not visible at all.

After running for a while with the three people in his arms and legs, he felt that they were some distance away from the place where they encountered the black robe, so old Wells asked Ronan to put him down.

What he meant was that he hoped Ronan could conserve his strength.

In fact, Ronan felt that he was fine. He was just sweating a little after running with three people for such a long time. There was no problem at all for fighting.

But old Wells insisted, so he let the three men go.

They found some medicinal powder to heal their wounds at a nearby supply storage point, and used their one-handed sword to cut a few tree branches into walking sticks. The injured old Wells and Vinicia were finally able to move normally.

In fact, there was still a long way to go before they got out of the forest, but at least they were far away from the most dangerous area, and everyone felt a lot more relaxed.

Because of the hugging experience just now, Ronan couldn't help but subconsciously glance at Venetia along the way.

Through secret observation, Ronan discovered that the facial features hidden under Venisia's thick flax hair seemed to be quite good-looking, even a bit good-looking.

It's just that her skin is really bad.

It is dark yellow, rough and dull, just like a peasant woman who has been working in the fields all year round.

This flaw greatly reduces Venisia's appearance.

"It's a pity for this figure, it could have scored above 90 points."

  Ronan secretly felt regretful.

Putting aside her appearance, he actually had a pretty good impression of the wizard girl Venisia.

At the funeral of the wizard Potter, Venetia sang to comfort the traumatized Cheryl. Her gentle and maternal gesture left a deep impression on him.

Later, she and old Wells adopted Cheryl, and it is said that she did not take anything left by Potter. She is definitely a girl with an extremely soft and kind heart.

It could be that he had just been carried by Ronan for a while, or it could be that Ronan's secret observation of him was discovered.

Ever since she took the branch cane given by Ronan, Venisia has been blushing and lowering her head, as shy as a rabbit that allows others to manipulate it.

They were running all the way without paying much attention, but when Ronan and his party slowed down, they realized how chaotic the tree house area was.

Thanks to my good brother Yidao for the Silver Alliance, I will add another chapter
