BOOM~
Thunder struck the darkened sky's as ash rained down on a village who's flames are still being put out by many soldiers.
Step Step Step
"This is the last of them your Majesty."
A Golden Gaint said.
Light who stood in front of a burned down building nodded as he looked at the few civilians that could be rescued.
"Light, this is it, isn't it?"
Deceptica, who stood next to Light said.
She looks older than when they meet, now visibly more charming due to her Demonkin Blood.
Light sighed as he looked around the village.
"It's been a century since we meet, and now I am ready to embark on the mission I was born to accomplish, to free Mankind from the enslaving clutches of the Godlings."
"A century? Time flies when your not paying attention." Deceptica said.
"You never told me how old you are Light, I know Humans live for about a millennium but you? I don't know."
Light chuckled before he put a hand on her head and gave her a pat.
"I am over 3 millenia old."
Deceptica who was enjoying the pat snapped her eyes open in surprise.
"W-What?! Three Millenia!? Light your like OLD-OW!"
Light gave her a flick on her forehead.
"Focus, there are still people that can be saved from this attack."
Deceptica nodded as she caressed her forehead.
As they walked around seeing how Lights men treating civilians ranging from the Special Golden Boys, how Deceptica calls them to the Regular Soldier.
"Sir! We found a pregnant woman here!"
Light heard his men shouting at each other and when he heard about a pregnant woman he rushed to the location he heard it from.
"Your Majesty! Thank goodness your here, this woman is unstable, we need to get her to a save location, she can't breathe anymore ash or the child will die."
Light nodded as he stepped forward to pick up the woman but before he could the woman stopped him.
Light stopped, wondering why she refuses but before he asks any questions he looks at her belly, visible bump and uses his powers to look at the infant through the womb.
Light let's out a heavy sigh.
"You do not wish to carry this child. A child born of a violent action, done by a Godling no less?"
The Woman who looks barely older than twenty nods as tears swell up from her eyes.
"I-I do not hate this child, but I don't wish to carry a gods child, not after what he has done to me and my village. But, I don't want to lose this child either because it's my child!"
Light seeing her cry lowers his head for a moment before rising again.
"Then you'd have no problem if it wasn't of Godling blood?" He asked as the young lady nodded.
That's all he needed. He put his hand on her belly as a bright light shone and after a brief moment it died down.
"There, your child now is of no Godling blood with no risk of corruption, pure human."
The young lady touched her belly feeling the warmth before beginning to cry while thanking Light as the soldiers carry her to safety.
"Light, you truly are compassionate. Care to leave some for us?"
Deceptica said as she smiled.
"You worry about your self first Deceptica and not your gold then we will talk about compassion."
Light said as Deceptica pouted.
-Night-
Nightfall came as Light went to his tent.
"Deceptica, this will be our last good nights rest. Cherish it because turbulent times await us."
Deceptica who was waiting before the tent with her eyes closed sighed.
"Then why are we here, sleeping in tents when we could be at HQ sleeping in King Sized beds and not this?"
Light smiled. "It's me who has the King sized bed, you always sneek up in at night. And as to why we are here is because tomorrow we go to Yvripa to meet the last Human Kingdom who still resists the Godlings attacks and offer them assistance."
Deceptica let out a groan.
"Why do you even call the God's Godlings? It's so, weird when everyone calls them God's besides you."
"Because they are not God's, only one being has that right. And the Godlings are not of True Divine Nature, they are the first children of Terra." Light answered.
"I thought its the Humans?"
Light smiled at her ignorance.
"No,Humanity is from Eden, but that's for another time, it's time to go to bed."
After he said that he went inside his tent leaving Deceptica stumped who shook her head and went to her own tent.
As everyone is sound asleep, a sudden force called to Light, waking him from his sleep.
He put on his armor in just a blink of an eye and exited the tent.
The Outpost is next to a mountain serving as cover and lookout for any wild Dragons that still roam the continent.
Light saw a crack in the mountain side and went inside.
As he exited he saw the ocean before him overlooking it from a cliff.
But that's not all, there stood a Dark Being surrounded by shadows and swirling tendrils as it gazed the ocean.
"Finally we meet, Light."
Light looked at the Being who still gazes at the waters. This Being is twice his size being 8 meters tall. The Dark Cloak fluttered in the winds as Light stared it down.
"Who are you and what did you call me for?"
Chuckle
"Who I am is of not concern to you. But I did call you to say something."
Light narrowed his eyes as his hand neard his sword.
"That sword would do nothing against me.
Either way, Light you walk a path blinded by ignorance and naivete."
The Being said mockingly.
"What do you mean?"
Light asked.
"You were born from the prayers of mankind. To be freed, wishing for a Savior instead they got a coward who hid in caves for 3 millennia tinkering in his technology."
Light was furious at this as he pulled his blade and pointed at the Being.
"Did you call me here to mock me? Or do you have something worth to say?"
Chuckle
"Oh Budding Light, you hid in caves the moment you arrived on Terra, you had the power to save Humanity from their enslavement from the beginning. Why hide and make technology and leave humanity to suffer for 3 millenia!?"
The Being screamed out as it turned to face Light.
Light stepped back seeing the face, or the lack of it, as were the face is supposed to be is instead filled with shadows.
"Do you know how many humans there are on Terra? 18 Billion! And they all sufferd a day more because you chose not to save them but to hide like the coward you are!"
Light takes a step forward as he replied.
"I was not ready! There can be variables not accounted!"
The Being clutched its fists.
"Ignorance, Stupidity."
The Being held up it's palm as a Fruit appeard it is hand.
Light seeing the Fruit began to shake, knowing its Origin.
"H-How?! How do you have the Forbidden Fruit?!"
He screamed out.
"Hehehe, there used to be two Fruits, but one was split and eaten by Adam and Eve on that fated day leaving one behind as they got exiled. I was given the duty to guard the remaining one. Because as the Most High said, to eat the Fruits will result in your 'DEATHS'."
"When a Fruit falls from a tree everyone suddenly knows the meaning of gravity, when a million bodies fall no one understands the meaning of humanity."
Light hated this, but this Being is right. He had the power to save Humanity but he didn't. This lead to the deaths of millions more. Millions that could still be alive.
"Light, I ask this. Are you ready to take the true burden of Mankind?"
The Being asks as the Fruit disappears.
"I am, as I always was."
The Being chuckled at Lights answer.
"Your Sister is also here, did you not know? Waiting for her Beother to rescue her."
Lights eyes widened. Darkness? His sister is here? No, NO!
"You don't have much time left, be quick, I give you my Blessing in your quest of mankind's freedom. [Deaths Blessing] I may not claim your soul no matter what until your task is done. Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock."
Light was in a trance as he snapped out of it. He looks around only to see nothing but himself alone on the cliff.
Death, that's who it was. Light sighed, of course the it had to be Azrael.
"Light?"
He turned around and saw Deceptica looking at him.
"You've been standing here like a moron for an hour, come get some sleep, you told me to cherish it how about you do to."
He shook his head before following Deceptica back to the Outpost, needing some good nights sleep.
If only he knew.
