Defense encounter attack

After waking up, I realized it was raining. Great. I couldn't get started on my building yet. Oh well. I threw on a coat that's somewhat waterproof and began chopping down trees, gathering materials. I decided to check my stats:

Level: 25ST: 40HP: 35SP: 25DX: 26

Not a bad level so far.

Mini Author's Note: I'm too lazy to add more stats or skills, so let's just pretend they're all there.

I kept farming until the rain stopped, then placed all my supplies by the front of the cave. After clearing out the Nigels, goblins, and a few of those scavenger birds (seriously, those things are annoying), I started building. That's when I realized I could craft an autocrafter. I'm not exactly sure how it works, but it uses the gravity of this place and a strong magnet to help move materials. I built it on my crafting bench, and it saved me a ton of time! All I had to do was clear away some debris, reinforce the cave walls with pillars for stability, and then set up my base inside. It even has a back door now, perfect for farming XP or quick exits.

I ate some food, then packed some extra supplies in my backpack since I'm planning to scout for a better, more permanent base in about a week. This cave base is solid, but still feels temporary. I made a trip back to my old base just to scavenge. There wasn't much left—just some leftover armor pieces, a few spears they'd thrown at me, a bit of glass, and some food I'd hidden under the floorboards. I packed it all up and brought it back.

Once I returned, I decided to add some better defenses. I discovered the crafting bench has a sort of scarecrow… but for humans. It records a message and plays it back, repeating, "State your business" every time someone approaches. That must've been what I heard the first time I met those guards. Good times. I wonder what happened to that guy… Did he even tell me his name?

Anyway, I set up the scarecrow, added a few ballista spears to the top, some spikes, and attached some metal sheets I'd found lying around to reinforce the cave walls. This should make it a lot more secure. Satisfied with the setup, I finally laid out my bed and settled in.
