CHAPTER 103

EDWINA

I got up from my spot on the chair, immediately curious as to why Harriet would react like that.

Muffled voices floated down the hallway, and I frowned. Who was Harriet talking to?

When I got to the door, my jaw dropped open at the person that was standing there.

He was as handsome as always, although he seemed to have lost a bit of weight. A small smile played on his lips as he took me in, and for a moment, all I wanted to do was hug him. But I didn't.

He looked so much like the friend that used to be a source of comfort to me before things happened and got between us.

I snapped my mouth shut and swallowed.

"Hello, gorgeous," Orion drawled, in that familiar and sexy way he used to call me with back when we were just friends.

My lips instinctively parted to respond back with 'Hey handsome' like old times, but I didn't. Instead, I swallowed and tried to compose my face into an expression of neutrality. Indifference.
