CHAPTER 5

NOAH

Face cap.

A face mask. Heads down. And just like that, my disguise was complete.

It was the way I managed to fly all the way here from the UK without drawing attention to myself.

Right now, as I got back from the car and walked into the small, almost nondescript restaurant where my client had chosen for our meeting, my lips tugged into a small smile.

Turned out it was pretty easy to get lost in a crowd.

I walked in and spotted the person I came to meet in a booth at the far end corner of the establishment.

Walking over, I sat down and greeted in form of a nod. He nodded back, and without wasting too much time, we started to converse.

There wasn't much to say though, almost everything had been finalised over mail. Within a few minutes of rapid back and forth, he slid a document over to me, his part of the contract already signed.

I signed in the space allocated to me, and just like that, the contract was done.
