CHAPTER 96

CIARA

Relishing the stunned look on Riley's face as we left, I could not help the giggle that slipped past my lips as Noah carried me up the stairs.

Noah looked amused too, but he said nothing — none of us said anything — and before long, he was at his bedroom door.

He opened the door, closed it behind him, and padded across the room to gently place me on the bed. Then my husband leaned in to kiss me.

"You, are a very devious woman," he muttered. I kissed him back, a smile tugging on my lips.

"I know. I feel like one too. That was fun, wasn't it?" I asked.

Noah pulled away from the kiss, sat on the edge of the bed and started to loosen his tie.

"Of course it was. She looked flustered, like she was too surprised to hear you speaking to her that way. I bet she's feeling so embarrassed right now."

"Exactly. And I didn't even plan all that I said. It just came, and I enjoyed it a lot. Did you?"
