CHAPTER FIVE: WILL YOU BE A PART OF ME!

Next day, Mingmei was ready and waiting for Wang Lie to come. He came and knocked the door. As soon as she opened the door, he was struck to see her. She looked adorably gorgeous in the blue and white outfit. He couldn't help it but just kept on gazing at her.

"You look so beautiful..." he said unknowingly.

"Ah... Thanks a lot..." (she was blushing).

He just calmed down, took a pause, and said, "shall we?"

"Yes please" (smiles) she said.

They left in the car. Although this was not their first meeting, she was still very nervous, as for her it was more than a dream to be going on dinner with her idol.

"Why are you so quite...? Or I must say you look nervous...," he said.

"This all seems to be quite a dream... A dinner outside that too with you..." she said in a low voice.

"This is indeed a dream then..." he said in a flirty way.

"I don't get it! Like it's somewhat understandable for me to be thinking as such, but what makes you feel it that way...?" she asked.

He smiled and said, "Nothing... And you look so beautiful today..."

At the moment now she was even more nervous... She turned her face towards the window and started smiling. She was actually feeling very shy. But then taking it just as a compliment she turned towards him and said,

"Thanks a lot", even saying so she couldn't stop smiling.

"By the way where are we going? I mean what if someone sees us...?" she said in low voice.

"You'll know when we reach, rest assured" he said.

"Ok..." she said.

Somewhat talking and somewhat quite, they reached a restaurant. It looked so old and less crowded.

"Shall we.?" he said.

"I haven't seen this place before. Seems like it's been here from a long time. But it's quite and warm..." she said.

"You'll know soon" (smiled) he said.

She got down and they went inside. The place was decent and quite inside. It was like a bamboo forest inside. They sat on a table. An old lady arrived near the table.

"Long time no see son... Got a beautiful woman along...," said the lady.

"I'm good aunt, and this is Mingmei, she's my fan and friend," said Wang Lie.

Mingmei smiled.

"Hello aunt. Nice to meet you," said Mingmei.

"Meimei, this is Mrs. Gao. She is the owner of this place. I come here for meals since my childhood. I just love the food here. Mrs. Gao is like family to me. This place hasn't changed. It's the same it used to be when I was small," said Wang Lie.

"And you're the first women to come along with him here. Lucky you!" said Mrs. Gao.

"This place is really so good. It feels a lot peaceful here," said Mingmei.

"Well, what would you like to have? Lie would you have the same old dish, or anything different?" asked Mrs. Gao.

"I would have the same old soup. You know Meimei, it's just so delicious! You must try!" he said.

"I would also have the same soup then," said Mingmei.

"Ok. You both carry on. I'll go get the soup" said Mrs. Gao and left.

"I didn't knew you are so simple...," said Mingmei.

"What does simple mean...?" asked Lie.

"Like other celebrities avoid going in public places alone., or the lifestyle is so glamorous... but you seem to be a lot different from rest of the people... so simple, innocent, traditional...," said Mingmei.

"It has been the same for me since childhood. I like to keep it simple... That's just much more comfortable and peaceful," said Lie.

Listening to his words, she felt like falling in love with him all over again.

"He's sharing things... Telling what's his life like... It feels like he's welcoming me to his life. Like, see Meimei, this is the real me. Would you accept me the way it is...?"

Mingmei was thinking all this to her mind. And suddenly she said in excited and loud voice,

"Yes!"

"What happened to you suddenly...? Yes?" asked Lie in a confused way.

Realized and coming to her senses she smiled and said,

"Nothing. It was nothing" (smiling and blushing)

"I…" she was about to say but Mrs. Gao came there.

"Hot and tasty soup is here. Hope you will like and enjoy it," said Mrs. Gao.

"Thank you, aunt," both said together.

"So, what was that you were saying?" Lie asked.

Ignoring to his question,

"It's not a good habit to talk while eating" said Mingmei and started to eat.

Lie realized she was avoiding it, he just smiled and started eating.

After the meal,

"The food was superb! So tasty!" said Mingmei.

"What did I say already!" said Lie.

"Thank you so much dear," said Mrs. Gao.

They left then. They reached Mingmei's home; she had already fallen asleep. Watching her sleep peacefully, he felt like time must stop at the moment and he should just keep watching her. In no time she woke up.

"Reached home?" she asked.

"Yes. You fell asleep in the way" he said.

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize that. What time is it?" she asked.

"Not a problem. "Don't worry it's not too late" he said.

"I'll leave first then" she said.

"Ok... sleep safe and sound" he said.

She stepped out of car.

"I had awesome time today. Thank you for the evening. Bye. Take care" she said.

"Me too." he said.

Mingmei turned and was about to go, Lie called her name.

"Meimei!"

"Haan?" she said.

He got down the car, came to her and said,

"The time we had together today was one of the best moments of my life... I haven't experienced the sense of joy and comfort as such from a long time..." he said.

She was surprised somewhat to hear that. Listening to his words she felt even more nervous.

"I hope more of these moments come ahead in our life..." he extended.

"Me too... although all these seems to be a dream to me, but the time I had today was so special..." she said.

"Glad to hear that from you. I'm happy to have you alongside" he said.

"That's what I feel..." she said.

"So, I hope we will keep meeting more often. Well, you should go and sleep now. You'll be having busy day tomorrow" he said.

"That's right. Not just tomorrow but many more days ahead... You should also leave now. Bye good night" she said.

"Bye. Goodnight" he said.

"And drive safe" she said.

"Yup! Bye" he said and left.

She came in the house. Although she was feeling so sleepy and tired, she couldn't control her excitement, and started jumping, laughing, and screaming. She wanted to sleep, but she couldn't stop thinking about Wang Lie and his words. The evening, restaurant, food. Finally, she went to sleep.
