Chapter 127: Mo’s Father Causes Trouble at School (2)

Jian Yiling continued scrolling through the comments beneath the post:

[Is this for real? Could that really be the goddess' father? Maybe there's some kind of mistake?]

[Yeah, isn't her dad supposed to be a businessman? This guy doesn't look like he's in business at all.]

[It's probably a misunderstanding. I saw the goddess attend a party hosted by the Yu family. Her family background shouldn't be that bad. How could she have a dad like this? Maybe the poster made a mistake.]

[I agree, it seems unlikely. Look at the goddess' demeanor and then look at that man—there's no resemblance at all.]

Mo Shiyun had always left a positive impression on both her teachers and classmates. The sudden emergence of such scandalous news made it difficult for people to believe.

At that moment, in the senior class, where self-study was taking place, Mo Shiyun quietly returned from the dean's office. As she walked back to her seat, she could feel the questioning gazes of her classmates fixed on her.

Keeping her head low, Mo Shiyun quietly sat down, her usual grace and composure shaken. Her friend Zhu Sha hurried over and whispered, "Shiyun, what's going on? Is that man really your dad?"

Mo Shiyun blinked, startled. "What?"

She had no idea that the events she'd just experienced had already been posted on the school's forum for everyone to see.

Zhu Sha continued, "There's a post on the school forum about a middle-aged man—is that your dad? It can't be, right? You should go online and explain to everyone."

Mo Shiyun's eyes widened in shock. With trembling hands, she pulled out her phone and quickly opened the school's forum. There, at the top of the page, was the most popular post—the one featuring photos of her father, He Jianjun, causing a scene at school earlier that day.

With just a glance, Mo Shiyun's heart sank.

Before today, her memories of her father were vague at best. She only remembered him as a worthless man who had abandoned her and her mother. She had no idea why this man, who had disappeared for over ten years, would suddenly show up at her school.

When she had seen her so-called "father" in the dean's office earlier, she had been completely dumbfounded. The man, He Jianjun, had barged into the school rudely and without warning. His reason for causing such a commotion? He claimed it was because of her tuition fees.

He Jianjun had made a scene, arguing that the school was overcharging for tuition and that he had only recently found out how expensive her education was. He felt that the school was robbing him and demanded an explanation.

The school administration, caught off guard, found it difficult to deal with such a person. After all, Shenghua was a private school, and its fees were indeed significantly higher than those of public schools. However, the school's fees were transparent and clearly stated, with no hidden charges.

As Mo Shiyun walked back to her classroom, she had tried her hardest not to think about the humiliating episode. But just as she was trying to push the incident out of her mind, she was hit with another devastating blow—everyone at school now knew about it.

Her classmates were all aware, thanks to the post circulating on the forum.

Zhu Sha, growing more concerned by the second, pressed further, "Well? That man's not really your dad, is he?"

Mo Shiyun remained silent. She had never spoken to anyone about her father. Judging from her usual behavior—her grace, her calm demeanor, and her polished manners—people naturally assumed that she came from a respectable family.

But now, confronted with Zhu Sha's question, Mo Shiyun didn't know how to respond.

She knew that the man in the photos was indeed her biological father. She should admit their relationship, for no matter what she said or did, she couldn't change the fact that she shared blood with this man.

Yet, every fiber of her being wanted to deny it. She didn't want to admit that the man who had caused such a disgraceful scene was her father. A deep sense of shame welled up inside her at the thought of being associated with someone like him.

Connecting herself to this man made her feel repulsed, as if she were covered in filth.
