Chapter 14 - Saint Shalria

Setting aside the dejected Winslet, Gawain followed the other members of the guard team and walked for over forty minutes. Although Gawain's body couldn't compare to that of the locals, he had been a fit man with abs before his transmigration. Walking for forty minutes while enjoying the countless sights of Mary Geoise didn't leave him feeling fatigued at all.

Before long, the guards surrounding him stopped in front of a castle gate that was similar in scale to the one belonging to Gawain's family.

"Saint Gawain!"

Since the captain was absent, one of the nervous bodyguards stepped forward, cautiously introducing the place to Gawain. "This is the castle of Saint Mjosgard."

"I know," Gawain replied, nodding as he passed his bodyguards and walked directly toward the entrance.

The guards belonging to Mjosgard were clearly at a loss upon seeing Gawain.

"CP0!"

The closest guard shouted at Gawain in dissatisfaction, "Please stay where you are! Without Saint Mjosgard's permission, even you CP0 cannot enter the estate at will!"

"Damn it!"

Before Gawain could respond, his bodyguards were furious.

"Open your eyes and see clearly, you bastard! This is the supreme and great head of the Gawain family, a Celestial Dragon lord of equal rank to your master!"

As they spoke, Gawain's bodyguards rushed forward, confronting the guards of Mjosgard. The two groups immediately faced off against each other.

Seeing this, Gawain shook his head with amusement. It was no wonder that when he told Pochi not to wear a headgear or Celestial Dragon attire, Little Pochi felt conflicted. After all, the Celestial Dragons didn't have the title written on their faces, and without any distinguishing symbols, anyone seeing them in a white suit wouldn't know they were Celestial Dragons unless they had encountered one before.

However, there was no point in this standoff, so Gawain clapped his hands.

With the sound, the surroundings gradually quieted down. Once everything was silent, Gawain looked at the guards gradually gathering in Mjosgard's courtyard and smiled as he said, "I am indeed not CP0, but a Celestial Dragon, Gawain. Did Mjosgard take the poor mermaid home?"

"This… this…"

Faced with Gawain's inquiry, the guard at the entrance hesitated for a moment and then gritted his teeth hard.

He finally made up his mind, drew his long knife, and swiftly pointed it at Gawain!

While aiming the knife at Gawain, he nervously shouted, "Great Celestial Dragon, how could you show such a gentle smile to us lowly beings! Who on earth are you, and why did you intrude upon the estate of Lord Mjosgard?"

"Uh…"

Gawain rolled his eyes, beginning to understand the self-important attitude of other Celestial Dragons. They truly lived in a world where everyone thought of them as noble! This was not merely the elders repeatedly emphasizing their nobility; it was the non-Celestial Dragons in Mary Geoise who genuinely felt from the bottom of their hearts that they were inferior!

"Ah…"

Gawain sighed deeply. It was clear that Mary Geoise was not suitable for him. It wasn't just that he disliked the environment or worried about becoming corrupt in such surroundings; rather, if he mingled in Mary Geoise, he would find it impossible to encounter anyone who could accept and enact the new ideas swirling in his mind!

While sighing, Gawain pressed his hand against the air. "It's still not too late to put down the knife. Even if you doubt my identity, there's no need to raise a weapon; you could just report to Mjosgard to verify it, right?"

"This… huh?"

The guard with the drawn knife thought about it and realized that he had a point.

He quickly sheathed his knife and turned back toward the estate in the courtyard. Gawain didn't rush and certainly wouldn't burst through the door; he waited silently for a moment until the estate of Mjosgard finally opened again.

However, contrary to Gawain's expectations, the one rushing out from behind the door was neither Mjosgard nor that guard but a tall, blonde woman with fair skin and striking beauty, dressed in Celestial Dragon attire!

As soon as the woman stepped outside, she quickly glanced at Gawain. Upon seeing him, she immediately screamed, "Oh my God, it's really Gawain!!!"

After the scream, the girl quickly reined in her starstruck excitement and hurriedly adjusted her outfit.

At this moment, Gawain noticed that the woman was wearing a beautiful pair of golden goggles adorned with a light pink veil, and she had two pink heart-shaped earrings dangling from her petite earlobes. After tidying herself up, the woman stepped forward with a seemingly graceful gait, though she was almost jogging in excitement as she approached Gawain.

As she got closer, the guards in Mjosgard's courtyard quickly divided into two groups, with one group gathering behind the woman. When she reached the entrance, she immediately pointed her finger at the guards blocking Gawain, and coldly shouted, "With such rude guards, Mjosgard is truly the disgrace of the Donquixote family! How dare they block my brother Gawain at the door! Someone, kill these trash who insulted my brother Gawain!"

"Stop!"

Before the guards behind the woman could take action, Gawain immediately intervened. As he spoke, the woman quickly raised her right hand.

"Stop! Brother Gawain told you to stop!"

While hastily halting her subordinates, the woman took two more steps forward, her eyes sparkling as she stood before Gawain.

"Brother Gawain, you don't like me giving orders in front of you, do you? I guess not; those who offend you should definitely be dealt with by you personally! Also, am I making you dislike me? You prefer delicate Celestial Dragon girls, right?"

After finishing her sentence, the woman immediately struck a delicate pose, speaking softly.

"Is this alright, Brother Gawain? As long as it's your decision, I, Shalria, will support you to the end!"

"Uh…"

Gawain was slightly taken aback by the girl's sudden shift in demeanor. The woman before him, who was slightly taller than him, had a striking appearance and an aura that would score at least a ninety-three, yet her words were filled with talk of killing and trash—was this really the Shalria of the palace?

While pondering this, Gawain shook his head. "I don't need your support yet, Shalria, but how did you end up in Mjosgard's residence?"

"Ahhhhhh!!"

In an instant, Shalria let out a sharp scream.

"Are you jealous, Gawain? Is it because I appeared in Mjosgard's residence, and you're worried about me marrying his child? You care about me; I'm so happy! Don't worry, Brother Gawain; it's impossible for me and Mjosgard's son to be together. The only reason I'm here is that Mjosgard hurt my brother and insulted my family! As the daughter of Saint Rosward, I will not allow my family to be insulted in any way!"

As she spoke, Shalria's expression changed, and she leaned closer to Gawain with a gentle and shy demeanor, continuing softly, "Of course, once I marry into the Gawain family, even if my father insults you, I will protect the honor of the Gawain family with my life just like I am now~"

Cough, cough!

Gawain couldn't help but cough a couple of times. "Shalria, it seems you've misunderstood something. It wasn't Mjosgard who hit your brother Charlos; it was me!"

"Eh?!!"

Hearing this, Shalria's face, which was previously filled with shyness, suddenly changed, but only for a moment before she replied seriously. "It must be that Mjosgard, that Celestial Dragon scoundrel, incited you! Otherwise, how could you have done such an undignified thing!"

"No, it's not that; I didn't need anyone to incite me. I just wanted to beat Charlos up!"

Gawain said sternly, which left Shalria momentarily stunned. After hesitating for a moment, Shalria straightened her brows, and a fierce, beautiful energy erupted from her very being.

She seriously addressed Gawain, "If it was you who acted, then the one at fault must be my stupid and incompetent brother! That Charlos, who would stoop to marrying inferior beings and slaves, must have done something else disgraceful that I don't know about!"

With that, Shalria's face flushed with anger. "Brother Gawain, wait for me! I'm going back to teach Charlos a good lesson. Tomorrow, I'll make sure he comes to your estate lying down to apologize!!!"

After saying that, Shalria hurriedly left in embarrassment, quickly mounting her slave mount while shouting to her subordinates. "Hurry, as fast as you can back home! How dare Charlos oppose my Gawain family! As the future woman of the Gawain family, I must make sure he ends up with broken arms and legs!!!"
