UNLIMITED POWAH!!! kinda

Well, the moment of truth has arrived. Oh, Gods! of gacha! I know I have never prayed to you in any way, but now I need your help so that these criminals cannot escape and I do not lose my undefeated reputation.

Yes, escape.

I was a little panicked when I saw Sabertooth at first, but in retrospect, there really isn't much he can do against me if he can't fly.

Bitch, I can control gravity, I just have to make it fly a little, and he becomes as useful as the balloon the clown on the corner sells.

I know Hammerhead, I know he's strong and heavy, so I doubt I can stop him, but then again, he can't fly.

The others are basically cannon fodder as soon as I use Golem to destroy their weapons.

The one I'm worried about is the Discount Griffin or whatever his name is. I don't know what powers he has. Because of his wings I assume he can fly and just because he's half lion or whatever he'll also be stronger than normal, stronger than me almost certainly.

I don't remember the Griffins doing anything else, but this is Marvel. So maybe at one look they turn people in to stone or something.

My biggest concern is if the gryphon would be able to buy time for the others and escape before I can detain them for the police. If I let them out too long, they might even take hostages. I don't know how guilty the people in this factory are, but I don't want to find out from a police post-mortem report.

So yes, more powers will be welcome, thank you very much.

I focused once more on my inner Galaxy. I felt the ten stored stars, circling each other and coming together as if they were part of the same package or group.

I guess it's a way to make the grouping process easier if I ever get more than ten stars, which I doubt will happen anyway. I like getting power-ups all the time, this saving thing was just for testing once.

I concentrated on converting the ten stars into ten new powers at the same time, the process was almost instantaneous, but not simultaneous, although I knew that the stars were already powers, the stars came closer one by one to let me know their name.

The first star that turned out to be gray arrived, and it was definitely a welcome surprise.

Grue.

Oh! This one is famous. Grue being the first Undersider I get a power from is at least curious. This alone makes this fight considerably easier. Although the fact that Grue is gray makes me think It's probably the original power and not the post-refrigerator power.

I also don't feel any instinct telling me I can copy powers, so I'm almost certain.

Grue's original power allows me to throw out large bursts of nebulous darkness. I can immediately cover about three city blocks and I can see through it perfectly. Everyone else, on the other hand, can't see a damn thing, not only that it also blocks various types of radiation, sound barely works, and touch feels weird.

Although I don't think it will do much against Sabertooth due to his good hearing, It will be able to prevent normal mobsters from escaping, Hammerhead could still break a wall, so I guess it won't be that useful against him either.

Still… Next!

Watch

Another gray.

I don't know this one, but my instincts tell me it's a grab-bag, meaning a Parahuman who got their powers around another person or several people. They tend to have one main power and several smaller powers. This one has Thinker, Striker, and Mover. Striker seems to be its main power.

It's not a Trump and its Striker power doesn't seem like it would be that dangerous, so I doubt there'd be much harm in trying it out right now.

I placed the star in the middle orbit and immediately felt the ability to use the Thinker power. It's a kind of two-meter omniscience and I can only use it in short bursts, a shame really, the range is also a bit short so it's not as useful as the word omniscience would make it sound.

Its Move power is a kind of high-speed, short-range move. It's a kind of discount Shunpo, not bad if you combine it with its Thinker power that requires close range and a Striker power.

Upon activating the power, Striker immediately knew what it could do. It's a kind of selective phantom strike that allows me to hit the inside of a person.

Dangerous, really dangerous. This could be my secret weapon against most Brutes for now, like against a certain Hammerhead here, however, I have to be careful, I guess if the two-meter omniscience allows me to see internal organs, that would make using my Striker power considerably easier. Overall, it's not a bad combination of powers at all.

I think I need to start speeding up a bit. Sabertooth was scheduled to catch me in about five seconds. That's thirty minutes in here, I've been here for about five minutes, so I better hurry up, I can't waste time on power tests in here, not now at least.

Following!

Topsy.

Another gray.

I remember this one. It can change the direction of gravity over a wide range or on specific targets, though only in one direction at a time. This one is perfect. You either fly or you're screwed. Unless I get something better, this will be one I'll be using as soon as I get out of here.

Which one more?

Carnal.

Party of grays.

Brute regeneration, sweet. I also feel like there's a secondary blood-related aspect that I don't think I'll be able to try right now.

Next!

Skidmark. Grey

Eww. The power isn't bad at all, but Eww. It allows me to create targetable repulsion fields. They're weak, but they stack, put enough of them down, and you have the equivalent of a stuff cannon or a very powerful treadmill. The best thing is that the object always comes out with more force than it entered with, I'm sure you can do some fun stuff with that. It takes time, though.

Another one!

Animos. Bronze

Finally! My first bronze! And I know it!

It didn't last long, but it has an interesting power. It turns me into a very large beast, nothing special, the interesting thing is that it can negate powers while it is turned. Another power that can be used to deal with Sabertooth I guess. It has a limit on how long I can be turned, but I doubt it will be a problem.

Miasma. Grey

I don't know them, but It's a Stranger with some sort of passive Shaker effect. I know what it has to do with invisibility and the Shaker effect is also invisible, but I don't know much else.

Another one!

Sundancer. Bronze.

Well… That's a nuclear option. I clearly know this one. Blaster, allows me to create a miniature sun and it makes me immune to heat and fire. It's a bit slow, but it gets bigger the longer I use it, yes, a nuclear option.

Following!

Chevalier. Blue.

This one is broken! It's useless right now, but it allows me to take the properties of one object and give it to another without losing any other properties. I can make a ten-meter sword that weighs a ton to others and a feather to myself.

That was broken in Worm. Here in Marvel where Adamantium and Vibranium exist? Interesting things are coming, definitely. I wasn't planning on using any weapons, but with Chevalier I'm seriously reconsidering.

He also has some sort of Thinker/Trump power that allows him to see a Parahuman's Trigger Event. That doesn't exist here, so I'm curious to see what that results in.

Now I'm excited! Next! I want to get out of here fast and kick some ass!

Bambina. Bronze.

I know this one, she fought Weaver in Las Vegas. Basically, It's the lost son of Bakugo and Bellami from One Piece. This power allows me to bounce like a drugged rabbit and although there is no Brute factor per se, it makes me immune to the forces generated by my bounces. In addition to a Striker power with which I can make explosions on contact. I can do both without the other, of course.

Pretty solid power, and also my last normal roll. The next power is Blue or better, basically as good as Dispatch or better. That's good because I can already see the guns pointed at me outside the barrier and breathing is getting a little difficult.

Okay… Next!

An extra star shot out of the sea of the galaxy, as it got closer I was able to appreciate its color.

Blue.

I'm not going to lie, it was pretty disappointing. I was hoping to finally see a new Tier now that the odds were in my favor, but you know what they say "Rate Up is a Lie" or something.

When it got close enough, I could see It's name.

Teem.

Yep, I have no fucking idea who that is.

A Master apparently, but not one who controls people, more of a Minion creator. Lots of Minions. Maybe too many. I could probably drown this building with Minions.

I summon one as a test.

On the ground lies one of my Minions. Some sort of humanoid thing made of clay. It has no discernible features other than being a dull gray color.

I mentally command it to walk towards the barrier wall. The Minion slowly begins to stand up and wobble with each step towards the wall. It's is a bit slow and has the motor skills of a drunken potato.

It tripped.

And it's also dumb enough to fall off a flat surface. In short, they're useless except as a death wave.

I can't give them complex commands and I don't have multitasking or super control or anything like that, I can only tell them to do general things.

I feel like I can combine them if I need to, to make bigger Minions, but seeing how this one works I'm not so sure how useful that would be. Although if I combine them all it'll be the size of a skyscraper, it'll be a giant just smart enough not to shit itself.

I'am sure has its uses.

But, my favorite thing about Teem wasn't the Teems (new name for the Minions) no, no, no. This power for some mysterious reason that only Scion knows allows me to fly!

Finally! A fucking flight power in every sense!

No more flying swords, no sir, this lady can fly!

I didn't have much room around here, but I flew around a couple of times with a huge smile on my face.

Of course, it wasn't a particularly fast flight (about forty km/h, I can run just as fast), but it was pretty instantaneous! Going from zero to forty kilometers per hour in an instant is no small feat, and the most important thing is the tactical and aesthetic advantage.

Enough of the games. It's time for some action. Although I'll be honest. It's probably going to be a pretty short action.

A three-minute plan in my opinion, properly crafted afterward, and I was ready for action.

First the preparations, a steel plate to use Golem.

Now I summon Lionwing's swords to create a shield with two functions, first to protect me from Sabertooth and second from the rain of bullets about to happen. From there the action begins.

Shield at the ready and badge in hand, I cancel the bubble.

Just as I removed the bubble, the sharp sound of Sabertooth's claws piercing through my wall rang out in the room.

I expected him to crash into the wall, but he reacted quickly enough to place his hands and avoid the blow. Impressive, annoying, but impressive.

Still, this is only the first part. Bullets started raining down on my shield and I guess Sabertooth did too, but I doubt he cares. He raises one of his claws ready to scale the steel wall to get to me, but before he could get very far.

"Argh!"

His legs, ribs, and some organs were completely shattered when I activated Moonsong on him at full power. I doubt I'll be able to stop him for long, but I don't need that much time.

I stuck my hand into the steel plate to neutralize all the weapons in the room, just before expelling a violent cloud of darkness, leaving everyone in the room blind, disoriented, and basically deaf.

I could have done it sooner, but the thugs might have shot each other and someone might have died. I won't ruin my perfect record for these second-rate villains.

Using Moonsong to move silently to an edge of the room, both the Griffin and Sabertooth completely lost track of me. Hammerhead, who was already ready to charge towards me, stopped, completely bewildered, and quickly lost his way.

Now I had a room full of headless chickens. Sabertooth was wild, I guess having his senses weakened must suck, the griffon was trying to get away from Grue by flying to the ceiling, but it wouldn't work, Grue was already covering the whole room.

Hammerhead looked ready to start running in any direction. It makes sense, he could go through any wall, but I'm already ready for that. I stopped Moonsonging Sabertooth who quickly started to recover and focused it on Hammerhead making him float in the middle of the room, unable to generate traction, his strength is useless.

That was my means of dealing with Sabertooth, but now that he's free I'll have to use another way.

I turned invisible using the power of Miasma and began to release… Well, Miasma. The change was instantaneous. The men who were initially circling the room began to act as if a tear gas bomb had been thrown into the room.

Tears, itching, coughing, the effects were slowly accumulating.

The Gryphon looked just as affected as the others, writhing up and down. The same with Hammerhead, who looked strange, writhing in pain as he floated.

Sabertooth, on the other hand, didn't seem as affected as I'd like, he looks like a cat fighting his vet, but nothing too major. I knew it would eventually affect him, but it's possible that by the time it does, the others will take permanent damage from Miasma.

To rectify that, I used the power of Animos to transform into a huge white wolf with a red tuft on my head, so that huge even on all fours my head measured more than two meters. This new form is interesting, but the truly valuable thing is this.

A truly savage roar pierced even Grue's fog silencer. The regular thugs weren't particularly affected. The super villains, on the other hand?

The Griffin suddenly fell to the ground, all flight suddenly lost, and he began to writhe on the ground like everyone else affected by the miasma.

Hammerhead straight up lost the ability to move his body for some reason.

But, the most interesting was Sabertooth. His savage qualities were toned down, his fangs became normal, as did his claws, but most interesting were his muted screams of pain inside Grue. It seems his powers are a big part of his tremendous resistance to pain, and without them, with parts of his body destroyed by Moonsong and the Miasma? It seems it was too much. He passed out.

The others also began to show more severe symptoms, a crippling headache that was on the verge of turning into major or even permanent brain damage.

Hammerhead still didn't move, and the Griffin writhed just like everyone else.

I turned off the miasma power and deactivated Animos' transformation. I know this power cancel lasts a at least few minutes, so I wasn't worried about Sabertooth suddenly healing, but I still kept Grue active just in case.

A few zip ties and a good old Dispatch application and in less than a five seconds all the thugs were duly trapped.

I stuck both arms into the walls and used Golem's power to trap the Griffin and Sabertooth in giant hand constructs made of cement.

Hammerhead was a little trickier. I don't have any of those magical spiderwebs that Peter creates, so I'm not sure exactly how to contain him. I guess I'll just let him float around until the police arrive.

Finally, I canceled Grue's power before pulling out my flip-top superhero phone and calling 911.

"911 What is your emergency?" This time, a man's voice answered.

"I'm the superhero Rogue, I'm at… Honestly, I don't know where I am. I'm in a cement factory in Manhattan. Use your fancy tracker to find me. I have here with me the dangerous mutant Sabertooth, a man who looks like a griffin, about twenty armed men belonging to the Maggia and their boss, a certain Hammerhead. Hammerhead, the Gryphon and Sabertooth all have super strength."

He was silent for two seconds before speaking.

"Police with proper equipment are on their way, Miss Rogue. Please remain on the line."

With that, the call went silent.

It's really cool how efficient they are with these things.

It's time to do the other part of my newly established routine when it comes to catching criminals.

I took my smartphone and used Topsy to walk along the walls and then the ceiling, looking for the perfect position to take a selfie.

"Say jail!"

My only response was a few moans of pain before the camera clicked.

Oh, this picture is so cool. I really need to create my own social media account. Naturally, I quickly sent it to Maddy, before we started chatting about our day and some other nonsense via text.

We could talk about it in the bedroom, but I don't have much to do while the police arrive, so I might as well talk for a bit.

As I was telling Maddy about the greatness of heating up the water before making coffee, the bedroom door swung open and almost instinctively I activated Dispatch.

I looked towards the door and when I noticed that there was an overly eager team of police officers in riot gear, I relaxed.

Holy crap, that was scary! I took a moment to calm down before removing the bubble.

"GO! GO! GO!" Quickly and efficiently, a bunch of cops came in who looked like they were from SWAT or something. They pointed their guns everywhere, including me, and made me put my hands up.

"Put your hands up!" Seriously? This again? Fuck it, next time I'm not sticking around for this. Who knows when one of these cops will be a Hydra agent waiting to shoot me.

"Calm down guys, that's Rogue, she's the one who made the call, and she's on our side." The familiar voice of Chief Watanabe just entering the room seemed to have calmed the atmosphere, even so, I find this outrageous.

"Hey Rogue! Looks like you're doing pretty well at this superhero thing. I recognize a few Maggia bigwigs here, not to mention Griffin and Sabertooth, not bad for your second day."

It didn't feel bad at all to be praised like that, but Griffin? Is that really the name of the griffin man? How boring.

No Rogue! You're supposed to be angry!

I gave Yuri an angry look, to let her know my dissatisfaction.

"That's a nice pout you have there." It's not a pout!

I got even more angry

"Hey, hey, calm down girl. I know it sucks to have a gun pointed at you a second time after doing something good, but they're nervous, and they have a job to do. Forgive them this time, okay? I'll spread the word around the departments to stop pointing a gun at you in plain sight."

"You make it sound like a favor, but that's the least you can do, Yuri. I can't have cops about to shoot me every time I try to stop a super villain."

"I know, I know, but these things take time. The police aren't used to dealing with such cooperative Vigilant- ("Hero") Heroes. Give me a week. Take a week doing smaller things, get familiar with the city, practice, go to school, whatever, but don't make any big moves during that time. I promise no one will try to shoot you next time."

I thought about it for a moment. Was it really worth ruining the little goodwill I had with the police for these two incidents? Logically, the answer was no, but it is a matter of principle.

Even so…

"Okay, but this will be the last time, if it happens again I will do my superhero thing, call 911 and go fuck myself."

"See? It wasn't so bad. Now we need you to remove those stone hands and get Hammerhead down so we can take all of them properly."

"Huh"

It seems that while I was busy talking to Yuri, the police had already handcuffed all the thugs and were taking them to their patrol cars.

In fact, many of them looked at us as if they were waiting for us to stop talking so they could do their job. Which is not wrong, but it is quite embarrassing.

Yuri just laughed, while I lowered my head, a little embarrassed.

Before they were taken down, the police injected the three of them with some kind of serum. I guess it's to keep them unconscious or something.

I approached the walls once again as Yuri looked at me curiously. I stuck my hands into the wall as I once again used Golem's power, this time to free Griffin and Sabertooth from their hand containers and slowly let Hammerhead down with Moonsong.

With the villains freed it was just a matter of using the giant handcuffs they used on Whirlwind to get them into their vehicles, although with Hammerhead it took several officers to get them to the end, they managed it without problems.

I also saw documents and computers being taken away, probably for evidence gathering.

In the end they made me leave the place while they continued their investigation with Yuri keeping me company. I was a little restless, honestly this is tedious, and I just wanted to go talk to Maddy about my new powers and play around with them a bit.

Yuri, noticing my discomfort, just asked me for a summary of how I ended up in this situation. She seemed a little surprised by a few things, but it was hard to pinpoint which ones exactly.

Ten minutes later I was done with the report and although it was a little early, I had had enough action for today and was flying home with my new flying superpower.

In the end, I didn't learn much about the Maggia from that meeting, but finding out that they have some regard for me (maybe a lot now) was eye-opening. It made me think that they're probably not the only ones who have their eye on me somewhat. Who knows what file SHIELD, Hydra, or the mutants have out there with my name on it? I'm new to this, but I've already proven to be surprisingly powerful.

That's good.

My current mission is to make myself known enough as a heroine to be recruited as an Avenger. That way, I can directly affect the plot of the films without having to look overly suspicious.

Mmn I promised Yuri that for at least a week I wouldn't make any big moves, but that doesn't mean I can't show off a little more.

I've been helping others, but I haven't been using my powers much while doing so.

Yeah, that's the plan for this week. I'll be going around showing off a bunch of powers to get attention. At the same time, I'll be practicing their uses and interesting combinations. I might also ask for help with the whole Chevalier thing to make a cheating team.

Maybe I can even farm some powers here and there? What do you think about that power?

Two stars was my answer.

Sidepiece.

Gray, a name I don't recognize.

Effervescent.

Gray, another new name.

The first one, Sidepiece, is a Blaster, with a bit of Brute, if what I feel is correct I understand why.

It basically turns the organs in my torso into projectiles. Yeah, if I want to use this power, I have to open my torso, put my hand in, take out an organ and throw it.

What The Actual Fuck?

I've been wanting to try power sacrifice at some point, this seems like a pretty good first choice.

The second, Effervescent

It's basically Cherish, but worse. I can use it to sense emotions at long distances, and at shorter distances I can cause emotional shocks to people, strong enough to stun them.

It's not bad and emotional detection sounds pretty cool, but the best thing is that in Worm emotional Masters are immune to other emotional Masters or at least highly resistant. If that quality is adapted here correctly, it would make me immune to anyone trying to mentally manipulate me.

That's pretty good, it doesn't prevent the most powerful mind reading, but it does prevent emotional reading and control. Those qualities alone make it a power worth keeping.

Thank you, Power.

With that last bit of excitement, I came home ready to talk to Maddy about my day with now thirteen new powers to play with.
