Chapter 104: Madison

“We’re here!” Hamilton announces. “Our new home awaits.”

When he exits the truck, fear floods my every cell. I sit frozen in the passenger seat; a sudden queasy feeling fills my belly.

Hamilton’s voice talking to someone draws my attention. Turning my head, I find him speaking to a tall, gorgeous blonde in a see-through silk blouse and a tight, navy pencil skirt. He waves for me to join him. Reluctantly, I slide from my seat, leaning against the truck door.

“Hand me the dogs. The three of you head on up, and I’ll have everything brought up for you,” the blonde orders, pointing.

I stand slack-jawed as Hamilton obeys. He passes the two dogs on leashes to her before returning to carry Liberty over to me.

“Let’s go see the new place,” he murmurs. “Berkeley will take care of our stuff.”
