Chapter 130: Hamilton

“We’re all loaded,” I announce from the kitchen island when Liberty and Madison emerge from the restroom. “Are we ready?”

“I’m ready,” Liberty states while Madison slips her winter coat over her arms.

“Are you sure you have the dogs’ schedule straightened out?” Madison asks, pulling out her Notes app on her cell phone. She scrolls through her massive list for this trip to ensure we aren’t forgetting anything.

“Yep. The guys know we are gone and plan to check in on them extra times to keep them from getting bored,” I restate for the third time today. “Would you like a water for the road?” I ask as I pull one for me from the refrigerator door. When she nods, I grab her one.

“Okay, let’s hit the road,” I cheer, motioning for Liberty to lead the way to the elevator.
