Chapter 12: A Different Place

I blinked in surprise to see the guy from breakfast. My mind raced, trying to make sense of the scene I was looking at.

It was common knowledge that kids from the day school weren’t allowed at the night school campus. If that was so, then why was he there?

He must have been curious just like the rest of us were. That was understandable, but he was acting suspicious in a way. It looked like he had snuck into the school out of curiosity. He was right by me, so he must have slipped through the gate as I went in.

I jumped a bit when the security guard suddenly appeared at my back. I whirled around. I had not seen him there. His eyes were narrowed on Golden Guy.

“Excuse me, sir,” he said. “I am forced to believe that since you are wearing that uniform, you are a part of the day school. If that is the case, I’m afraid I must ask you to leave at once. You are not allowed here.”
