Apprehensive, I hesitated if I should turn around. I wasn’t ready to face Joshua again.

I stood in the small grove outside the iron gate, staring at it for a moment before making up my mind. Since I was already here, I couldn't just turn back. I circled around the property, observing the surroundings. The gate was tall and imposing, but the surrounding walls didn't seem insurmountable, especially after I spotted a large, dense tree whose branches stretched over the wall.
