Chapter 11: Take That Woman to the Master Bedroom

A few minutes later, Gu Yining revealed her diagnosis: "Chronic fatigue has led to lumbar muscle strain. You have excessive liver heat and need to temper your arrogance and impatience. If your emotions accumulate and ignite your heart, the consequences could be dire."

Her assessment closely mirrored what an old physician had told her during her recent visit to a traditional Chinese medicine clinic.

This young girl appeared so unassuming and plain, yet her medical skills were surprisingly profound.

Although Chen Ma had a fiery temperament, she was hardworking and down-to-earth.

Initially, she had misunderstood Gu Yining as a new maid who wasn't pulling her weight, leading her to scold her a bit harshly. Now, however, guilt began to rise within her.

"I'm sorry, little girl; it seems we had a misunderstanding earlier," Chen Ma said, her expression softening into a smile that was exponentially friendlier than before.

"It's nothing, really. I hope you can continue to help me in the future," Gu Yining replied, her gentle smile radiating humility.

Winning people over was best achieved not through force but by addressing their needs directly.

"Are you going to be the young master's long-term family doctor here at the Fu residence?" Chen Ma inquired curiously.

"Pretty much," Gu Yining nodded.

She knew that she would need to wear many hats in the future: Fu Hanning's wife, the mother of his children, his personal physician, his trusted assistant, and more…

Meanwhile, upstairs, Fu Hanning reclined lazily on the sofa, his gaze focused intently on the computer monitor displaying surveillance footage.

His deep-set eyes remained half-closed as he scrutinized Gu Yining's face, the smoke from the cigarette he held swirling around him in delicate rings.

"Li Feng!"

"Yes, young master."

"Take that woman to the master bedroom." His voice was cold and devoid of warmth.

"Uh? Young master, you're not…" Li Feng hesitated, unsure how to proceed.

"Did I stutter? Just take her there. Don't ask so many questions!"

"Yes, sir."

A few minutes later, Gu Yining was escorted into the young master's bedroom.

No one in the mansion suspected a thing; everyone believed she was merely the young master's personal doctor.

As she stood in the master bedroom, Gu Yining surveyed the black-and-white decor that filled the space, noting how oppressive and stifling it felt.

This cold, lifeless atmosphere was incredibly dull.

She walked over to the wardrobe, opened the door, and searched for a sleepwear option to take a quick shower.

As the massive wardrobe swung open, it revealed an array of neatly hung shirts and suits—all for men—leaving not a single piece of female clothing in sight.

It seemed this man was dedicated to maintaining his purity, never bringing a woman home.

This, she found somewhat appealing.

Selecting a crisp white shirt from the collection, she slipped into the bathroom.

In an effort to save time, she opted for a quick shower, rinsing herself off thoroughly before using a clean towel to dry off. She emerged from the bathroom wearing the white shirt, her hair still slightly damp.

Fu Hanning had returned to the bedroom while she was in the shower.

He lounged lazily on the sofa, his tall, lean frame relaxed as he crossed his long legs. In his hands was a magazine that he had been perusing.

Gu Yining stood before him, her bare feet touching the floor, and beads of warm water still glistening at the tips of her hair.

The droplets trailed down her fair, delicate collarbone, creating a mesmerizing path.

Her long, slender legs and beautiful figure were accentuated by the shirt, while her face, free from the unattractive makeup she often wore, looked simply stunning.

This woman resembled a natural enchantress.

"Hubby…" Gu Yining raised her gaze shyly, her voice sweet and melodious, sending shivers through the air.

Fu Hanning set down the magazine and began to walk toward her slowly.

His handsome features were as cold as ice, devoid of any warmth or softness.

No matter how beautiful or alluring she appeared, it seemed she could not penetrate the frosty depths of his icy gaze.

Gu Yining felt the tension in the air as she stood before him, unsure of how he would respond. It was a dance of emotions, one that neither of them had fully learned the steps to yet.
