Chapter 11: It's Good to Be Alive

Anna on the other end of the line handed the phone to Julia, "Elizabeth told you to call, didn't she?"

Julia was too intimidated by Anna's powerful aura to speak. She could only stand still until Anna left. Then she patted her chest, "Phew, that's scary. But why is Anna here? Didn't she always hate places like this?"

Walking out of the bar, Anna took a deep breath, "I feel better now."

She felt her heartbeat and narrowed her eyes, "It's good to be alive."

It was then that she donated her heart to Soros. As everything around her became a blur, she couldn't help but feel remorse at the thought of her life ending like this.

She never thought she'd be able to open her eyes again and feel her heart beating again. She wasn't sure it made sense.

After she finally calmed down, she thought about the half-dozen months before she had ever married Soros.

At this point, she was at a cocktail party. It was at this cocktail party that she had made up her mind to marry Soros.
