Chapter 13 Natasha, the bartender

David shut his eyes and the solar radiation stored within his cells, heated up all over his body.

His entire body changied colours to red as heat radiated off his body.

His cells burning up with great intensity, instantly burning off the tendrils Venom was extending.

"AAAAAGH" Venom shouted in pain as he retracted whatever was left.

Its whole symbiotic body felt the pain, and the heat sent it into a state of temporary weakness.

When David felt Venom retract whatever was left of the tendrils, he immediately stopped burning up the cells.

"Are you crazy!" Venom shouted in pain.

"You really think I will stand by while you try to take over my body?" David said to Venom with a chuckle.

"You are crazy!" Venom shouted.

It found David insane because of the damage David did to himself.

It was a valid reason, protecting himself.

No sane human will have the will to do this to themselves, Wait... he is not even human, Venom thought to himself.

"What are you? You're not human."

"Me?"

"I'm a kryptonian" David said.

"Kryptonian? What is that..." Venom said as it searched its Web of knowledge containing every species in the universe, yet Kryptonian was not a recorded species.

It was shocked.

The symbiotes were aware of every race in the universe, powerfull or weak yet how was it possible that they didn't know about the kryptonian race?

"Your lying" Venom said.

"I'm not, I'm just unique" David said with a shrug of his shoulder.

After David said that, Venom went silent while David regenerated his strength and healed the several injuries all over his body while enjoying the peace of space and the silence it brought compared to being down on earth.

Here David did not need to limit his hearing which usually felt like putting some top quality noise cancellation headphones except it was very uncomfortable.

His strength didn't need controlling as there was nothing to accidently break up here in the empty space.

He could fly as fast as he wanted without worrying about accidently hurting people.

It was liberating but lonely.

"Venom what are you doing?" David who was enjoying the freedom flying around suddenly said.

"I'm trying to understand how your body heals!" Venom shouted and went quite again causing David to let out a sigh.

The day quickly passed by with David just floating around in space.

The earphone Tony had given him had long since stopped working and had pretty much become useless.

While flying around and absorbing the sun light, David collected the scraps from the Satellites he had destroyed.

He cleaned up the space debris he caused, smelted it all together into a ball using his heat vision, and chucked it at the moon toward the Inhuman community residing there.

With the message being "I own the moon"

David hoped the message would stay intact, but honestly, he didn't have much hope. He did this mostly for fun, since he had started getting bored.

Unless the ball had some type of deviation in it's path towards the moon, it would smash into the moon in about 10 hours.

Clapping his hands David watched the large ball tumble through space with a entertained smile.

After some time he finally felt like his body had completely healed and his strength had returned.

He made his way back into Earth's atmosphere.

He was going to head over to Tony's house but decided to get a drink before that.

"Venom, can you put some clothes on me?" David said to Venom as he landed on a building's roof in Manhattan.

Venom was silent.

"I am hungry.." Venom mumbled.

"I'll get you something to eat later" David said.

Venom was reluctant to listen to him but did as David asked.

It was night at this time so the street lamps lit up the streets but the visibility was still lower than day time.

People were walking about, while cars drove on the roads in a loud yet symphonic peace.

David jumped off the roof onto the ground and began walking towards a pub he had visited before.

Walking in front of the door, David heard the muffled yet perfectly clear sounds coming from inside.

Some groups of people were celebrating over a drink, some were letting out their sorrows, some were relaxing after a long day of work and talking about current affairs, like Superman, while others were trying to hit on the bartender, whose voice sounded really familiar.

David suddenly smiled.

He used his super vision to look through the door and saw Natasha, also known as Black Widow.

He pushed the door open and walked inside, no one looked at him as they were all busy with there own thing except for Natasha, whose eyes immediately locked onto David for a second before she looked away and continue making the drink of a guy.

David smiled wider seeing this as he walked towards the bar and sat down on a stool.

"What can I get you?" A male bartender asked.

"Can I have some beer?" David said.

"Sure, by the way you look familiar have we met before" he asked.

"No, we have never met" David said with a chuckle.

David was served his beer and the bartender moved on to another customer.

He grabbed the glass and took a few sips of it enjoying the taste of it.

"Where have you been handsome?" Natasha said as she came over to David who put his glass down on the bar.

"You know a little here and there" David replied.

Last time he had come here, things between him and Natasha had escalated.

"Well, what brings you back here then" She leaned towards David and asked with a seductive smile.

"Well, of course it's you that brought me back here" David replied as he leaned a little forward aswell.

There was a silence between the two before Natasha chuckled a little as he backed her head away a little.

"How about this, tell me a little about yourself" She said.

"Where do I start" David replied with a smile.

"How about, where you work?" She said as she stared at David's eyes.

"I like to consider myself in the business of saving people" David said.

"Really, so like a firefighter?" She said causing David to chuckle a little.

"Something like that, so do you have any hobbies?" David questioned.

"I like, riding bikes and reading, what about you" she replied.

David's smile never left his face as he found this entertaining and was beginning to enjoy this lie that Natasha was trying to get him to belive.

So he still played along to see how far she was willing to take it.

"How about a date?"

"Tommorow, we will meet here, at this time" David said, glancing at the clock on the wall.

"Sure" Natasha responded.

He grabbed the glass, chugged it enjoying the taste and stood up.

"I have to be on my way, it was great meeting you again" David said as he began walking out of the bar.

"Hey, what about the bill!" the other bartender who noticed David leaving without paying the bill asked.

But David had already rushed out the bar before the bartender could stop him.

"Take it out of my tips" Natasha said as she began taking of her appron.

"Also I'm going for a smoke break" she said.
