Wizarding World
Since Tom Riddle was resurrected and arrested, the European magical world has become much more stable.
During Hermione's fifth and sixth years at Hogwarts, Kain returned once or twice—but mainly to collect magical biological materials for his experiments. While there, he also checked in on Hermione and Fleur, and occasionally took his goddaughter on trips during the summer.
At the end of one visit, Kain took a batch of potions Hermione had brewed. While many of them were useless to him personally, they were quite useful for his subordinates in other worlds.
Felix felicis potion, in particular, had a good effect on him and gave Kain quite a pleasant experience.
In addition to his personal endeavors, Kain had also been promoting the development of the goblin industry. Flying brooms were, in his view, mere toys for students.
If the goblins wanted to keep their alchemical techniques secret, they had to follow Kain's plans and requirements.
Flying boats, magical warships, and similar innovations were the future of goblin craft. Alternatively, Kain could simply enchant modern airships with weapons and armor enhancements, increasing their speed, durability, and self-repair capabilities.
If powered by an Arc Reactor and combined with magical acceleration, these ships could break new speed limits, all while being protected by enchantments. This was the true charm of combining speed and technology.
Much of Kain's aircraft carrier project involved alchemical upgrades—some tasks he entrusted to the goblins, and others he completed himself.
Back when Hermione was in her fourth year, the goblins had still refused to accept Kain's commissions. But by the time she reached sixth year, they had relented.
Kain's magic materials shop had expanded, opening branches in eight European countries. It monopolized 36 commonly used magical ingredients, while aggressively purchasing the remaining ones.
The store also introduced a tiered membership system, dividing customers into Common VIP and High-End VIP groups. Only those with sustained purchases and sufficient loyalty points could attain VIP status.
In addition to potion ingredients, the shop also merged inventory for magical minerals, woods, and plants.
Under these conditions, Goblin Workshops could no longer afford to ignore Kain's requests—they would face a raw material shortage unless they created their own supply chains.
But that was unrealistic. With so few goblins available, they couldn't afford to divert enough of their numbers for such labor. Ultimately, they gave in.
By Hermione's sixth year, the goblin workshops had agreed to transform fifty flying warships every six months in exchange for a stable supply of materials from Kain's store.
A year later, Kain had acquired a hundred magical flying warships. He planned to take forty of them to the Pirate World and Ninja World, while the rest would be stationed on his aircraft carrier.
This time, as Kain returned to the wizarding world, his goals included placing new orders with the goblin workshops and acquiring a batch of magical creatures. He also intended to dig deeper into the world's secrets.
Among other things, he'd become so absorbed in experimenting with Veela that he'd forgotten all about retrieving the Time-Turner. This time, he was determined to take the magical artifact back for research.
"Hermione, are you still studying for N.E.W.T.s? I honestly don't think it's necessary. If Hogwarts' top student fails, it'd clearly be sabotage."
Ron and Harry, passing by the Great Hall, couldn't help but comment when they saw Hermione still buried in books—many of which they didn't even recognize. Though their own grades weren't bad, Hermione's reading habits often left them unable to follow the conversation at all.
"This isn't N.E.W.T. material—it's Nicolas May's notes on alchemical potions," Hermione said, her voice full of excitement. "As you know, Nicolas May used the Philosopher's Stone to create the Elixir of Immortality. Compared to that, Felix Felicis just doesn't measure up. Honestly, I think—"
Even in her seventh year, Hermione could still go on and on when talking about topics she was passionate about.
Ron and Harry, however, didn't understand a word. They hadn't come to discuss alchemical theory—they had something else in mind: the prom.
Ron glanced at Harry, swallowed nervously, then cut in, "Hermione, we're actually here to ask... if you want to go to the prom. You know, since we'll be graduating soon."
By now, Hermione was practically the golden flower of Hogwarts. Behind her stood Mage—the most powerful magic figure in Europe.
Everyone knew that if you angered Dumbledore, you might get a stern talking-to... but if you provoked Hermione, you might suddenly find your potion supplies mysteriously cut off.
And Hermione herself was outstanding in her own right. After Slughorn and Snape, she was considered one of the most talented potion-makers in the European wizarding world. She'd sold her first vial of Felix Felicis back in fifth year—potions came as easily to her as breathing.
Beyond her skills, Hermione had grown into a beautiful young woman. With refined features and an elegant presence, she was like a Hogwarts princess. There were plenty of boys vying for her attention, but none had caught her interest.
Ron and Harry were among the few boys she regularly spoke with, though in the past two years, their conversations had become less frequent due to their studies.
"Prom?" Hermione repeated. "Sure, I should go. But you two really ought to think about what comes after graduation. Harry, you want to be an Auror, right? But you don't even understand the Auror exam yet."
Before Hermione could continue lecturing them, a house-elf suddenly appeared at her side.
Harry and Ron recognized him instantly—he was from Professor Pinter's house.
"Phil? What's wrong?" Hermione asked in surprise. Phil and Isaac never appeared without a reason.
Phil nervously twisted his fingers, eyes brimming with tears. "Little Master, the Master is back."
"My godfather's back?" Hermione's face lit up. "Take me to him, Phil—"
But she paused, brows furrowing slightly. "Wait... I still have things to do here at school..."
Phil quickly added, "The Master said not to worry. He'll come to see you himself."
"...Alright, then please tell him the seventh-year prom is in three days."
"I understand, Little Master," Phil replied respectfully before disappearing with a soft pop of Apparition.
"I've got things to do—I'll head back," Hermione said, gathering her magic books from the table. She gave Ron and Harry a nod, then left for the dormitory.
After she left the Great Hall, Ron sighed and turned to Harry. "Do you think I still have a chance?"
Harry gave him a sympathetic pat on the shoulder. "Ron, I think... Laboon isn't bad. At least she likes you, doesn't she?"
After returning to the wizarding world, Kain had asked Phil to inform Hermione of his arrival. Then he made his way to the main Kain Magic Materials store in Diagon Alley.
The store had since expanded into a massive three-floor complex across the Fourth Gate. With spatial expansion charms cast by dozens of wizards, its interior was now larger than even Gringotts.
The facility boasted over forty specialized storage warehouses, each tailored to preserve different categories of magical materials.
The operation employed nearly three hundred staff in total, with sixty wizards stationed in England alone.
"Good job, Guy . Your talent in business might even surpass your skill in potions," Kain said with a smile. "Let's keep expanding like this. Also, consider forming a Wizard Guard for the Kain Magic Materials store. The business is huge now, and we can't rely on Aurors alone. You can recruit from this year's graduates or even those from previous years."
Kain's praise left Guy unsure whether to feel flattered or disappointed. Potions had always been his dream, and he hadn't given up on that path—even now.
"Next, contact Leuven Amoto for me. I need to purchase some magical creatures—many of which are on the restricted list. Have him take care of it."
Leuven Amoto had recently become Minister of Magic. After Connelly stepped down, many believed Rufus Scrimgeour would take the role. However, with Kain's support, Leuven secured the position with ease.
According to their agreement, once Hermione graduates, she'll join the Ministry of Magic. From there, Leuven will gradually elevate her into the position of Minister—a plan orchestrated by Kain himself.
"I understand," Guy replied, though he gasped slightly after reviewing the list of magical creatures Kain had handed his.
Is he planning to open a zoo? He wondered.
The boss's requests were often difficult, but this list exceeded all expectations. Still, he took the list without protest and left to begin his work. There were a few species he could legally acquire first.
Although Guy left, Fleur remained behind. Having studied under Guy for two years, Fleur was now the deputy store manager of the Kain Magic Materials shop and had considerable authority—especially in Vangaloon's business division.
"Professor, you've finally returned," she said softly.
As the door closed behind her, Fleur reached up and undid the small clasps at the collar of her outfit. The hidden slits in her corset-style dress revealed a smooth waist beneath—it was a discreetly sensual design, practical in certain... moments.
"Fleur, I'm here strictly on business this time, you—"
Kain's words cut off as Fleur slender hands moved deftly, reaching for him with bold familiarity. Her ocean-blue eyes looked up at him—innocent like a nun's, yet filled with unmistakable fire.
"I know. I'll listen to the professor, always. And if I forget... the professor can punish me," she whispered.
Before her sentence was finished, she had already welcomed him into a warm, yielding space.
Veela charm, once awakened, made Fleur unmatched in the art of devotion. Perhaps only Kujima Hime—a true snake spirit—could rival her, though her motives were far more self-serving. And Fleur ? She seemed just as addicted to Kain as he was to the pleasures she brought.
After some time spent in passionate embrace, Fleur stood up, her white silk-wrapped thighs parting gracefully as she straddled him once more. As her heart filled with warmth, she began to moan softly.
