Early the next morning, Phil and Isaac were busy bringing hearty breakfasts to the tables, and the long family dining table was filled to the brim, especially with Kain's large appetite.

Fleur rubbed her temples as she walked over. Even with delicate makeup on her face, it couldn't hide how tired she looked.

"Professor, Granger brought me a glass of milk last night, and I fell asleep after drinking it."

She had originally planned to wait for Hermione to leave before speaking to Kain, but unexpectedly, she fell into a deep sleep after returning to her room, and by the time she opened her eyes again, it was already morning.

Kain coughed twice, then said seriously, "I know about this. I'll have a word with Hermione. Sit down and have some breakfast first—I have something to tell you later."

Fleur nodded, though she felt a bit wronged. Professor pent rarely visited, and now she had been tied up by Granger for an entire night. But when she looked at the tableware, she asked suspiciously, "Granger didn't come down yet?"

"She might still be asleep."

"Oh."

With that answer, Fleur sat down and began eating, but after only a couple of bites, her thoughts became active again—perhaps after breakfast…

It wasn't that Fleur was overly forward, but Kain's presence—refined and pure like a unicorn—had an inexplicable pull on women. Just as men were naturally drawn to Veela, women responded subconsciously to Kain's aura.

Beyond his temperament, Kain's appearance and other qualities made him an irresistible experience for Fleur. At first, she convinced herself it was "for the Dellacour family," but now she no longer felt the need to hide her desires.

A few years ago, this would have been a threat to her. Now, it felt like an opportunity.

But Fleur's hopes were dashed. Just as she finished breakfast, she saw Hermione approaching the dining table, rubbing her sleepy eyes.

"Morning, Godfather. Miss Dellacour ."

Although Hermione still looked tired, her tone was noticeably lighter today. She had caught up, and from what she felt, the godfather seemed to favor her more now.

The Polyjuice Potion typically lasted an hour, and although Hermione and Snape had worked out a method to extend its effects, they hadn't managed to push it beyond two hours.

And Hermione had stayed there for over four hours before finally leaving. It was already getting light by then—there was no doubt the godfather had noticed.

"Why don't you rest a bit more?" Kain asked.

"Because I'm starving. By the way, Godfather, when are we leaving?"

Kain thought for a moment. "Take another day to rest—you can leave tomorrow morning." He understood how exhausting last night's "training" must have been for a girl, so a little more rest wouldn't hurt.

But Hermione shook her head. "I'm fine. I've packed already. Let's go this afternoon, Godfather!"

"…Alright, that works."

Kain didn't mind and agreed easily.

His goal was to collect magical knowledge from the wizarding world. Before setting off, he had the Red Queen infiltrate the global satellite network, using it to monitor unusual activity in ancient Greece before other nations like the U.S. could notice.

The Red Queen's analytical capabilities were formidable—every tiny anomaly was recorded, and unmanned survey drones were dispatched to investigate further.

If a drone lost contact, it was likely due to magical interference. Magic could disrupt magnetic fields and disable all electrical and electromagnetic equipment. A powerful wizard, in effect, was a walking EMP.

Although many legendary wizards in history originated from ancient Greece, it wasn't guaranteed that they returned there before their deaths. Kain had to search patiently—and if he found nothing, he could always treat it like a sightseeing trip.

Kain and Hermione didn't take a plane. Instead, a fire dragon pulled their chariot directly to the United States.

With disillusionment spells in place to shield them from radar detection—and with Kain able to use his Thunder Fruit abilities to scramble electromagnetic signals—they traveled undetected.

The plane was too crowded, and Hermione probably wouldn't have been able to bear it if she had disapparated, so they took the Fire Dragon instead. Fortunately, the Fire Dragon wasn't slow—three or four times faster than the Firebolt, and almost half the speed of Mach.

The chariot it pulled was spacious, and Kain had just finished strengthening Hermione's body. After injecting her with the phoenix gene, her control over magic was expected to reach an entirely new level.

She might not be at Kain's level yet, but she now had the potential to become a top-tier witch in terms of magical control.

Kain also taught her how to construct a source of magical power. Once she succeeded in building it, her strength would increase several times over. Even if Voldemort escaped from Azkaban, he probably wouldn't be a match for Hermione.

"Godfather, this is amazing! I feel so much stronger than before. I can even control Fiendfyre with ease."

After adapting to the phoenix gene, Hermione felt a powerful affinity with flames and magic. She was able to cast the Fiendfyre Curse inside the dragon chariot effortlessly. The cursed flames didn't harm her at all—in fact, her palm looked like it cradled a dancing flame spirit.

"And the source of magic, Hermione—that's the foundation for your future growth. It will allow your magic to strengthen continuously. Reaching my level one day won't be a problem at all."

Kain smiled as he reminded her, though building a magical core required decent knowledge of alchemy. But with Hermione's current magical talent, it shouldn't be too difficult.

Hermione felt her fatigue quickly melting away. A slight heat radiated through her body, and she gazed at Kain with bright brown eyes, boldly saying, "Godfather, I've recovered~"

For some reason, their arrival at Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was delayed slightly. By the time they got there, the effects of the Polyjuice Potion had worn off, and the bond between Hermione and Kain had grown stronger.

With Dumbledore's letter of recommendation and Kain's reputation and influence, they were soon welcomed by Headmistress Agilberta and brought to the school's library.

Ilvermorny's library wasn't quite as rich in magical texts as Hogwarts, but it still held a substantial collection. After a thorough search, Kain found quite a few books he had never seen before—many of them related to warlocks and occult practices.

These two branches of magic were often neglected at Hogwarts, but here, they were treated with equal importance.

With Agilberta's permission, Kain quickly deployed his Shadow Clones to sort through and copy the books he hadn't read yet. In return, he gifted Ilvermorny with some rare magical texts from his personal collection.

During their time there, Kain and Hermione also took the opportunity to travel across the United States. For the past two years, Kain had been in Europe and East Asia, and Hermione had never visited the States before.

More than a month later, Kain had nearly finished collecting all the valuable texts from Ilvermorny. He and Hermione then headed to the vicinity of Delos, once part of ancient Greece—the first location marked as suspicious by the Red Queen.

According to legend, this place was once home to Mopsos, a powerful prophet said to be able to predict the outcomes of future battles and thus avoid harm.

"Godfather, there really are traces of magic here," Hermione said, scanning the area. "But they're faint—almost completely gone. It must've been left behind by some other wizard, unintentionally."

Hermione's sensitivity to magic had also improved greatly by now, though her title remained unchanged. Despite the substantial shift in her relationship with Kain, that unchanging title made things feel even more thrilling—and she wasn't the only one who felt that way.

"It's definitely possible, but since we're here, let's take a closer look," Kain said.

He had the ability to sense radio waves and could subtly detect any anomalies in the magnetic field within a ten-kilometer radius. After carefully scanning the area, he located something in a short time.

"I found it, Godfather!" Hermione exclaimed, her brown eyes widening as she excitedly grabbed Kain's arm.

They had discovered a secret chamber hidden underground. The magic concealing it had grown weak and was originally designed to open only on specific astrological dates—a blend of prophecy and magical timing. However, Kain disrupted the magnetic field flow and dispelled the concealment spell directly.

Only Kain could do this. His ability to manipulate magnetic fields allowed him to bypass the conditions Mopsos had set. Any other wizard who didn't follow Mopsos's rules would never have been able to open the chamber.

Inside, they found a magical book, Mopsos's personal notes, a divination crystal ball, and a magic wand. The wand, over two thousand years old, was quite different from modern ones—nearly two meters long and made of a withered wooden staff.

After briefly examining the items, Kain and Hermione took everything with them.

In addition to Mopsos's chamber, the two of them went on to locate several other sites once inhabited by Legendary wizards. These included Carl Cass, Ender Ross, and Enzo—each a wizard renowned since the days before the common era.

They also visited the place once occupied by Haierbo. While there was nothing of direct value left, Kain found many lingering traces of the dark curses Haierbo had invented.

Upon entering Haierbo's cave, Kain was struck by a powerful curse. Luckily, his body naturally neutralized it—otherwise, he would have ended up like the skeletal remains scattered on the ground.

After traveling for over half a year, Kain and Hermione had gained a great deal. While Haierbo and Enzo had left little behind, the magical books and notes of Mopsos, Carl Cass, and Ender Ross were successfully recovered.

Their journey took them through nearly all of ancient Greece and Egypt, and they even spent two months in Africa.

By this point, Hermione had already missed the Ministry of Magic's new intake of recruits. But that didn't matter—the Minister of Magic personally vouched for her. With news of Kain's return spreading, no one dared to give Hermione any trouble.

When the two returned to England, Guy had nearly completed the acquisition of all the magical creatures Kain had requested. However, some species still eluded capture. Even with the Ministry's help, dealing with foreign magical ministries proved difficult.

Guy had borrowed the Time-Turner, and Luwin had done everything he could to support the project—earning every Galleon Kain paid him each year.

After returning, Hermione joined the Ministry of Magic. She was thoroughly satisfied with the results of their expedition—not only had she grown significantly stronger and unlocked the potential to become a Legendary wizard, but she had also fulfilled something she had long yearned for deep in her heart.

Once Kain had sorted through all their discoveries, he also strengthened Fleur's body and began preparing to return to the Marvel world.
