"What… what did you just say?" Martin stammered.
"To kill Adam, I must die first, and you are the one who will help me to kill me," Odelia said as if she were talking about the weather.
"Are you talking in riddles, or is this a coded language?" Martin asked straightforwardly. Why did her words sound so strange and confusing? Her words were as brazen as her offer. Seeing the confusion on Martin's face, Odelia decided to elaborate.
"I will explain everything to you later, but first things first, I have been standing out here for a while now; why don't you invite me in and let's talk? You can eat while we chat; the food might get cold," Odelia said.
Martin scratched his head in embarrassment and asked her to come with him; he had totally forgotten about inviting her in; maybe it was because there was nothing to see, so he had subconsciously avoided asking Odelia to come in, seeing how sophisticated she dressed.
