THE KING'S ARRIVAL

Angel's heart began to pound even harder as Ares opened another door, and signalled for her to go in.

She wriggled her fingers nervously, as she entered the room.

"Habibti," The King of Baghdad said, as he rose from the ground he was seated, and walked up to her.

"King Malik," She replied, surrendering her hand to him.

The King took it in his, and brought it to his lips.

"Habibti, you're just as beautiful as I recall. Even more now," he said, grinning from ear to ear.

"And you're just as kind. I didn't expect you to travel all the way here in person."

"I wouldn't have, if I hadn't heard about your presence. Your father wouldn't let me see you. This was the only opportunity I had to see you again."

Angel forced a giggle, and she could see her reaction pleased him immensely.

Ares cleared his throat from behind, and they both turned to look at him.

The King let go of Angel's hands, and moved closer to Ares.
