Ares left Ava's room feeling dirty. He wasn't the kind of gangster to keep two women at the same time.
It just wasn't easy to make a choice, and stick to that choice.
Ava meant a lot to him. She represented years of determination on his part.
Funny how it had taken Angel's arrival to break that determination.
He was so deep in his mind as he walked, that when he eventually halted, he was shocked at where he found himself.
This never happened. He didn't just absentmindedly go towards Nadia's room.
"Angel's room," his head corrected.
"Nah, we can't be here," he said, turning around.
At the same time, Eli surfaced with Angel walking beside him.
They all paused in sync on seeing each other.
Angel's eyes went directly to Ares' shirt, and when she saw the lipstick stain on it, she rolled her eyes.
"Goodnight Eli, and thanks for your companionship."
