AN ANGELS HEART

"So I was going to apologize to Luciana for–" Angel suddenly couldn't bring herself to say it out loud.

Ares cocked a brow, with his head tilted to the side, as he listened to her.

"You know—" her voice trailed again.

"No I don't." He feigned ignorance, but deep down was amused by how difficult it was for her to say what she did.

Angel shifted uncomfortably. She was only just realizing that incident had been brushed aside, and they had never discussed it after.

It only made things more awkward now, because they were supposed to be way past all of that.

She swallowed the saliva stuck in her throat, and tried again.

"I wanted to apologize to her for kissing funny guy," she rushed her words, grateful she had finally said it out loud.

"Yeah, why did you do that?" Ares, who had not bothered to ask before, suddenly grew curious.
