Nico smiled, because all night, he had sensed a pending question along those lines.
It had finally arrived, further revealing to him his friend felt more than he was willing to admit.
"This is messy, but I love it," Athena whispered to Vivian who rolled her eyes in response.
Ivar's head remained lowered, as he held his breath.
He wished he wasn't in the room. He wished he never had feelings for Angel, because all of those feelings were the architect of all of his misfortune.
"Common, that's a crazy question to ask. Ivar absolutely doesn't have feelings for me," Angel said.
"I didn't ask you, Angel. Let the man speak," Ares countered her.
"Well the question concerns me, so I have the right to speak, no?"
"Not actually," he shook his head. "You have zero rights to speak until it gets to your turn."
Ava felt invigorated at those very direct, and maybe just a little harsh words from Ares.
