"Ares, it's been three days. Why won't you eat?" Nadia asked, as soon as the servant who brought their food left the room, and the door closed behind him.
He didn't reply. He hadn't said a word in the three days since they got the news of Angel's death.
Although she couldn't see his face, she could tell that he was brooding.
Her heart broke for him. Because she knew his heart was broken.
It hurt even more that he wasn't in the comfort of his house, to properly mourn her.
"Ares, you starving yourself to death won't bring back Angel. We barely get food here. Why would you reject the little they feed us? If you continue starving yourself, you'll only deteriorate. Do you want to die? Is that it?"
Ares suddenly scoffed, taking her by absolute surprise.
"You're happy," he said.
"Happy? I don't understand."
