Chapter 309: Recruiting Allies, Generous Rewards

Chapter 309: Recruiting Allies, Generous Rewards

As the silver-eyed young man quietly appeared like a phantom, the leaders of the three great powers couldn't help but widen their eyes slightly. His movement technique was so mysterious, he had entered the hall without them noticing a thing. His speed and stealth were indeed something to be feared.

The tense atmosphere in the hall relaxed slightly with the arrival of this young man. The leaders of the three factions stared at his striking silver eyes, their faces showing a hint of recognition as they began to realize who he was.

But before they could say anything, the people in the hall, including Xiao Li, Zi Huo, Yan, and the other members of Yuan Manor, all bowed respectfully.

"Greetings, Manor Lord!"

In unison, they bowed to the young man with silver eyes. Even powerhouses like Zi Huo and Yan, both Dou Huang experts, showed him such respect. Not even Han Feng could command such obedience from his followers in the Black Alliance. This instantly elevated the prestige of the silver-eyed youth to a new level.

At the same time, his identity became unmistakable.

"You must be the leader of Yuan Manor, Lord Mo Yu," said the scantily dressed woman, her eyes filled with surprise as she stared at Mo Yu. Her voice carried a solemn tone.

"I am Mo Yu. It is a great honor for my humble Yuan Manor to have the three of you accept my invitation and visit Mo City," Mo Yu said with a light smile.

"Hoho, Lord Mo, you're too kind. Yuan Manor's reputation now echoes across the Black-Corner Region. How could we dare refuse your personal invitation?" The scantily clad woman giggled, noticing that Mo Yu didn't seem hostile.

In truth, before coming here, the three leaders were very confused as to why Mo Yu had invited them. However, with Yuan Manor now being one of the most powerful factions in the Black-Corner Region, they had decided to come after some private discussions, not wanting to offend such a rising force.

"Lord Mo, may I ask what exactly is the reason for inviting us here?" the old man from Tianyin Sect asked, his hoarse voice tight as he kept his gaze fixed on Mo Yu.

"Hehe, since Elder Yin Gu is so direct, let's not beat around the bush. The reason I invited you three here is that I wish to propose a deal," Mo Yu said.

"A deal? What kind of deal?" The three leaders were slightly taken aback by Mo Yu's words, their initial suspicions now giving way to curiosity.

Mo Yu smiled, pondering for a moment before speaking slowly. "As you can see, Mo City has been developing quite well recently, and the profits are extraordinary. I can allow your three factions to claim a portion of those profits within the city."

"What? A share in Mo City?" Hearing this, the three leaders were stunned, and their eyes lit up with greed.

Mo City, with its booming prosperity due to the presence of the Hundred Weapons Hall, had become one of the top trading hubs for weapons in the entire Black-Corner Region and even the Northwest Continent. The profits generated here were astronomical, far beyond what could be measured in mere gold coins. The daily transaction volume alone was worth more than what their factions could earn in a month. If they could secure a portion of those profits, it would bring immense benefits to their forces.

"And what do you want from us in return?" the three leaders asked each other with wary glances. The old man from Tianyin Sect cautiously asked, still not believing such a generous offer could come without a catch.

"My Yuan Manor and the Black Alliance are sworn enemies, as I'm sure you're aware," Mo Yu said, his gaze locking onto the three leaders. "All I need from you is to lend us your assistance when the time comes for us to battle the Black Alliance."

"To fight the Black Alliance?" The three leaders were visibly shaken. They exchanged glances, and the old man pondered aloud, "Lord Mo, with Yuan Manor and Canaan Academy joining forces, you should be able to handle the Black Alliance on your own. But from what I've heard, the Eagle Mountain Elder has joined the Black Alliance. With his addition, along with the Golden and Silver Elders who can contend with a Dou Zong expert, the Black Alliance now has two Dou Zong powerhouses."

"Yes," added the seductive woman from Raksasha Gate, her expression serious. "I've also heard that Han Feng, the Medicine Emperor, personally persuaded the Eagle Mountain Elder to join them with the offer of free alchemy for ten years. With the Eagle Mountain Elder, a Four-Star Dou Zong, on their side, the Black Alliance has grown even stronger."

Mo Yu wasn't surprised that the three leaders were aware of this news. After all, their factions had been standing in the Black-Corner Region for years, and they had their own intelligence networks. The Black Alliance was powerful, but it was still just an alliance of various forces, and it wouldn't have been too difficult for these three to gather information about them. However, Mo Yu was slightly impressed by how much they knew.

He also couldn't help but admire Han Feng's ruthless determination. Offering ten years of free alchemy was essentially putting himself in the position of a servant—something that would tarnish his reputation as the Medicine Emperor. But Mo Yu had to admit, Han Feng's willingness to swallow his pride showed that he was not without merit.

The three leaders exchanged uneasy looks before awkwardly shaking their heads. The old man from Tianyin Sect let out a nervous laugh and said, "Lord Mo, our three factions have always maintained neutrality in the Black-Corner Region. We don't get involved in power struggles between other factions, so I'm afraid we must decline your offer."

Worried that rejecting Mo Yu might anger him, the old man quickly added, "But rest assured, since we've refused the Black Alliance's invitation before, we will continue to stay out of their conflict with Yuan Manor. We swear on this."

With the Black Alliance's current strength, they could stand as a first-rate force even in the entire Northwest Continent. Two Dou Zong experts were powerful enough to decide the outcome of any battle. Though it was rumored that Yuan Manor had a Dou Zong-level puppet and Canaan Academy's Grand Elder on their side, the risks were simply too great for the three factions to justify getting involved just for a slice of profit.

"Hehe, are the three of you afraid that Yuan Manor might lose to the Black Alliance and drag you down with us?" Mo Yu chuckled softly at their response.

The three leaders laughed awkwardly but remained silent.

"The Black Alliance may have the Eagle Mountain Elder, but Yuan Manor is not without its allies. Canaan Academy is still the top power in the Black-Corner Region," Mo Yu continued with a calm smile. "All I'm asking is for you to help us hold off the Black Alliance's main forces when the time comes. It won't be too difficult for you."

The three leaders' eyes flickered with indecision, but they remained silent.

Just as the atmosphere in the hall grew tense once again, a graceful figure suddenly appeared behind Mo Yu without warning.

The sudden appearance of the woman caused the entire hall to tense up. The three leaders were especially shocked. They hadn't detected any disturbance in the air—no indication whatsoever that someone had moved.

It was as if the woman had been standing there the entire time, but her presence now made it clear that she had only just arrived. This kind of speed was even more terrifying than Mo Yu's earlier entrance. At least with Mo Yu, they could vaguely sense where he had come from, but with this woman, they hadn't felt a thing.

What truly terrified them, however, was the aura she casually exuded as she stood there. It made their hearts feel as though they had stopped beating for a moment.

The three leaders were all Dou Huang-level experts, yet even they felt such overwhelming pressure from this woman. That could only mean one thing: she was a Dou Zong-level powerhouse!

"A Dou Zong!"

The three leaders' throats moved involuntarily as cold sweat appeared on their foreheads. They had known about the Dou Zong-level puppet, but now Yuan Manor had yet another Dou Zong expert!

With two Dou Zong-level fighters, Yuan Manor's strength was unparalleled in the entire Northwest Continent.

The three leaders looked at Mo Yu in shock. Could this young man be the illegitimate son of some super-powerful family? How else could he gather so many experts and build such a formidable force in the Black-Corner Region in such a short time?

Mo Yu sensed Medusa's presence behind him and smiled at her.

Medusa, however, showed no reaction to his smile. Her narrow, alluring eyes swept coldly across the hall, making everyone she looked at feel a chill down their spine. Some of the weaker individuals even felt their legs go weak under her gaze. The pressure of a Dou Zong expert was indeed terrifying.

The three leaders stared at Medusa in shock. After a long, tense moment, the seductive woman finally forced a smile on her face and said, "I didn't expect Yuan Manor to have such a powerful expert. It seems it's only a matter of time before Yuan Manor becomes the top force in the Black-Corner Region. Lord Mo, you are truly enviable at such a young age."

The other two leaders also gave forced smiles and nodded, including the Wild Lion Gang's leader, who had been quite fiery earlier. Now, he dared not utter a word of disrespect.

Even though he was strong, having reached the Dou Huang stage, he hadn't been able to withstand even a single punch from Zi Huo. Against a true Dou Zong expert, he knew he stood no chance at all.

Seeing how the presence of Medusa had subdued the three leaders, Mo Yu smiled. "Everyone, this is the head of Yuan Manor's Tian She Hall, Cai Lin. You sensed it correctly—she is indeed a Dou Zong expert."

"What? She's the head of a hall?"

The three leaders' faces turned pale. They had assumed that this Dou Zong expert was a guest elder or a protector of Yuan Manor. They never expected her to be just a hall master. Since when did hall masters in Yuan Manor have such terrifying strength?

"Hehe, have you three made your decision yet?" Mo Yu asked with a raised eyebrow, his smile returning. "Yuan Manor's ambitions don't stop at Mo City. We plan to expand throughout the Black-Corner Region. With our strength, the future rewards will far exceed what we're offering now. If you agree to help us, you won't be forgotten when the time comes to share the spoils."

Hearing this, the three leaders felt their hearts race with excitement. With Yuan Manor having a Dou Zong puppet and another Dou Zong expert, their strength already surpassed that of the Black Alliance. There was likely no other force in the Black-Corner Region that could match them.

As powerful as the Black Alliance was, Yuan Manor was clearly on the rise, and Mo Yu's offer was extremely tempting. However, they still felt uneasy. Mo Yu was being unusually generous, and this generosity made them suspicious. As seasoned leaders, they couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

Noticing the hesitation in their eyes, Mo Yu smiled once again and delivered his final blow. "You've all heard of Yuan Manor's Hundred Weapons Hall, haven't you?"

His calm words caused the three leaders to look up at him, their eyes full of curiosity. "What do you mean by that, Lord Mo?"

"Hehe, since the establishment of Yuan Manor, the fame of our Hundred Weapons Hall has even surpassed that of the manor itself. Countless strong warriors have spent their entire savings just to obtain a weapon from us," Mo Yu said, pausing for a moment before continuing, "In truth, I am not only the head of Yuan Manor—I am also a weapon refiner."

"Oh? Lord Mo is a weapon refiner? Could it be…?" The leader of the Wild Lion Gang couldn't help but ask.

The other two leaders also turned their gaze toward Mo Yu, their expressions full of anticipation. Weapon refiners were incredibly rare on the Dou Qi Continent, and if Mo Yu himself was behind the Hundred Weapons Hall, it would explain a lot.

Seeing their eager expressions, Mo Yu smiled and flicked his finger. Three shimmering objects flew into the air, floating before them and instantly capturing everyone's attention.

Suspended in mid-air were a whip, an axe, and a suit of armor. The glow and aura of these three weapons were extraordinary, clearly marking them as far superior to ordinary weapons.

The long whip was a deep red color, with scales like those of a poisonous beast running along its length. The jagged, venomous barbs on the whip promised deadly results if struck.

The massive axe was over a meter long, its weight so immense that it seemed to distort the air around it. The handle was crafted from the spine of a powerful magic beast, and the blade gleamed with a cold, deadly light. A single swing of this axe would undoubtedly cause devastating damage.

The suit of armor appeared simple at first glance, but upon closer inspection, it was crafted from extremely rare materials and interwoven with the sinews of a Sea Dragon Serpent, known for its dragon-like bloodline. This made the armor both incredibly durable and capable of concealing the wearer's aura.

As soon as the three weapons appeared, the eyes of Yin Gu, Su Mei, and Tie Wu were filled with fiery desire.
