"Is she really my uncle's sister?" Kael asked in excitement.
Eros shot a warning look at his nephew, clearly regretting his choice of giving the painting for the test. Instead, he should have thrown this little crow on fire.
Mirabella, on the other hand, was caught between nerves and uncertainty. She was confident she couldn't possibly be the king's sibling, yet a small part of her couldn't help but worry. What if I am? Would he make me fan him all day in the name of sibling duty?
To everyone's relief, Zilore shook his head. "No, Lady Mirabella is not His Majesty's sister," he declared firmly.
Both Mirabella and Eros exhaled a simultaneous sigh of relief, though Kael visibly slumped with disappointment. "If her power is similar to Grandpa's, why couldn't she still be my aunt?" he asked, exasperated, as he flopped onto the stool again.
Eros glared at him. "Don't you have studies to attend? I asked Mekey to guide you. Go."
