Chapter 129

Bella's pov

Unknown attack

Her words hit me like a punch to the gut. I clenched my fists, anger and fear swirling within me. "What do we do?"

Eliana took a deep breath. "We have to figure out who's pulling the strings. The men who kidnapped you weren't just thugs. They were trained, organized. That means someone powerful is behind this."

My mind raced. "Could it be Peter? Or Cabo's allies?"

"Possibly," Eliana admitted. "But I think it's someone even higher up. Someone who's been in the shadows this whole time."

The weight of her words settled heavily on me.

A knock at the door interrupted us. One of Eliana's team members stepped in, his face tense. "Jacob is stable, but he's still unconscious. We've patched him up, but he needs rest."

Relief flooded through me, but it was short-lived. Jacob was safe for now, but the danger was far from over.
