Chapter-1

A glowing orb floated in a dark void.

"Argh!" it screamed, trying to escape the darkness devouring it.

"Oh great, Michael Jackson, help me moonwalk out of this place!" the spirit yelled, thinking it was funny as it started moving backward.

"Thud!" It hit something.

"Huh?" It turned around, seeing a pristine white creature.

"Holy... freaking alpaca!" the spirit yelled, staring at the being.

"It's Arceus," said the being, its ruby eyes locking onto the soul.

"From Pokémon?" the soul asked, wiggling around.

"Yes and no," Arceus replied, looking amused.

"Aren't you going to continue?" asked the soul.

"No. So, how did you die?" Arceus asked, staring at the spirit.

"Well, I was a famous YouTuber," the soul answered.

"Yeeaaah," said Arceus.

"What?" the soul muttered before continuing, "It was a normal morning, and I came up with an idea to slander MrBeast, you know, since it's trending these days."

[Flashback]

"I am a disco dancer, tunununu," a boy sang, wearing headphones as he walked down the footpath toward the grocery store.

"Th-" with a slight sound, he accidentally bumped into a bald man, apologized quickly, and kept moving.

"What a good kid," the man muttered under his breath.

"Thud!" The man turned around and saw the boy who had bumped into him now lying on the ground. A flower pot had fallen on his head.

"Call an ambulance!" the man yelled, looking at the unconscious boy.

Did you think that's how he died? No, no, no.

"Don't worry, sir," a man said as he placed the boy onto a stretcher.

"I'm saved!" the boy thought, relieved as he glanced at the man.

But fate had other plans.

"Bang!" A bike slammed into the stretcher, sending the boy flying.

"~Can we go much higher, so high~" the background music played as the boy crashed into a tanker—specifically, a milk tanker.

"The boy who survived a bike accident with a head injury drowned in milk," a news reporter said on the screen before Arceus, who looked on with amusement.

"Drowned in milk, huh?" Arceus chuckled, looking at the boy.

"I..." the boy began but couldn't find the words. He quickly changed the subject. "So, where am I? And what am I doing here?"

"You're in the Void. As for the second question, you're a stray who survived the end of everything."

"What's a stray?" the boy thought, confused.

"A stray is someone removed from Samsara, the cycle of life and death," Arceus explained, reading the boy's mind.

"Did you just read my mind?" the soul asked, though he already knew the answer.

"Duh," Arceus groaned.

"So, what happens now?" the boy asked.

"Nothing. You just die," Arceus said, turning away.

"But... but I…" the boy stammered.

Sigh Arceus sighed, seeing the soul's pitiful, puppy-like expression. "Fine, I'll help you. What do you want?"

"A new life," the soul answered.

"Hmm... sure," Arceus agreed. "But..." he interrupted the boy's excitement, "you'll work for me."

"Sure!" the boy agreed eagerly. After all, working for the Creator was a gift.

[Oh, how wrong he was.]

"So, where do I go?" the boy asked.

"A newly started world of Pokémon," Arceus replied.

"New?" the boy asked, surprised.

"Yep. You can use it as your base of operations. Help the world develop and foster trust between humans and Pokémon," Arceus said.

"What about the legendaries?" the boy asked.

"You're my worker, my steward. No one will touch you because you carry my energy," Arceus said, his voice booming.

"Now, in my name, you shall receive a human form."

The soul began to glow as Arceus granted him a physical body.

He grew to about 5'10", with flowing red hair, pale skin that contrasted with his shining golden eyes.

"As my gift, you'll get a system for chatting with me, analyzing things, and traveling between dimensions. You can also choose a Pokémon—not legendary, but maybe mythical," Arceus said.

"I want Zeraora!" the boy said, his eyes lighting up.

"Granted," Arceus replied, as a yellow feline creature was torn from the boy's shadow.

"Zera…" the creature muttered, dazed.

[DING] A sound chimed as a transparent system screen appeared in front of the boy.

"Brat," Arceus called out, looking at the boy, who was still in shock. "I'll inform you when you have missions through the system. For now, use it to get stronger and promote Pokémon."

"Thank you," the boy said as his form faded away into dust.

"Now, I wonder how his story will unfold," Arceus mused as he closed his eyes.

----------

"Hah!" The boy exhaled loudly as he woke up, lying in a futon. He clutched his head, his golden eyes glowing.

"System," he called.

[Ding] With a sound, the status page appeared:

[Name: Cale

Species: Homo Superior (High Human)

Age: (16) 20

Abilities: Aura lvl 1, Psychic lvl 1

Pokémon: Zeraora (special)]

The status page ended.

"Zeraora," Cale called out, looking around.

"Zrr," a grunt sounded beside him. He looked over to see the yellow feline.

Another screen popped up:

[Name: Zeraora

Age: 1 (2)

Gender: Male

Experience: 1 years (simulated)

Ability: Transistor

Hidden Ability: Teravolt]

"Holy crap!" Cale yelled. A Zeraora with Teravolt—it would be one of the strongest!

"Zrr," Zeraora growled, but trusted Cale enough to let him approach and pat his head.

"Zeraora, we'll be the strongest beings under him," Cale said, holding out his fist.

"Zeraa," Zeraora replied, bumping Cale's fist with his own.

[DING] Another sound rang as a message appeared.

"Cale, you've woken up in this world as a second-generation rich kid whose entire fortune has been lost. Your family started a Pokémon academy. Your goal is to make it the number one academy. There's a summon option where you can summon a character from another universe, but remember, just because the first summon is free doesn't mean the rest are."

Cale read the message and rushed outside. He turned to look at the academy building.

"Fuuuck," he groaned. A dilapidated board hung from the top, reading: Hogwarts.

"They even stole the name of a magic school," he muttered.
