Chapter-3

"Zeraora, let's go!" Cale called out, releasing the lightning-fast Pokémon onto the field. Sparks flickered around Zeraora, its claws crackling with energy.

Giovanni wasted no time. "Rhyperior, use Mega Punch!"

Rhyperior charged forward, its fist glowing as it aimed for Zeraora. But Cale was ready.

"Zeraora, dodge with Plasma Fists!"

In a flash of yellow light, Zeraora moved with incredible speed, narrowly avoiding the punch. It retaliated, delivering an electrified blow straight into Rhyperior's side.

The ground trembled from the impact. Giovanni's eyes narrowed as Rhyperior staggered but regained its balance.

"Rhyperior, Earthquake!" Giovanni commanded.

The battlefield shook violently, cracks forming under Zeraora's feet. Cale clenched his fists but stayed calm.

"Zeraora, jump and use Thunder Punch!"

Zeraora leaped into the air, its fist glowing with electrical energy, before smashing down onto Rhyperior's head. The blow sent electric arcs surging through Rhyperior's body, causing it to roar in pain.

Cale stood across from Giovanni, heart pounding as the battle raged on. Zeraora had taken the lead with its lightning-fast strikes.

"Rhyperior, Earthquake!" Giovanni's voice was calm but commanding. The ground shook violently, and Zeraora struggled to keep its footing.

"Zeraora, Thunder Punch!" Cale shouted, trying to regain momentum, but Giovanni anticipated it.

"Stone Edge, now!" Rhyperior's sharp stones flew from the ground, striking Zeraora head-on. Weakened and overwhelmed by Giovanni's superior strategy, Zeraora collapsed—it was knocked out.

Cale clenched his fists in frustration, realizing too late that his lack of experience had cost him the battle.

Giovanni nodded, a smirk on his face. "You have potential, but you're not there yet."

"I expected this," Cale said aloud, looking at Zeraora, who seemed disappointed and walked toward him.

"Don't worry, we'll win next time," Cale reassured as he patted Zeraora's fur.

"Zrr," Zeraora growled softly, pushing Cale's arm away as it stared at Rhyperior.

"What a feisty little one, isn't he, Mr. Cale?" Giovanni remarked, grinning at Zeraora.

"Please, you can call me Cale—or Principal," Cale replied, smiling sheepishly.

"Then to your liking, Cale," Giovanni said with a grin as he looked at the man in front of him.

A day had passed, and Giovanni had learned more about the world. Currently, it was summer vacation, and the academy would start in 49 days.

"So, where are we headed?" Giovanni asked Cale, who was adjusting his appearance.

"PIAT," Cale replied.

"Huh? Pokémon International Association Tower?" Giovanni asked, eyeing their ride, a Honda City.

"Yeah, we're going to re-register the academy and give you a Trainer Strength Assessment Test," Cale explained as he got into the car.

"Vroom, vroom."

-----

Soon, Cale took Giovanni to the PIATbranch in the city

"How's it going? The atmosphere here is lively," Cale said, introducing the area to Giovanni with a hint of pride.

Although the knowledge of Pokémon in this world was behind, the large population had created a strong atmosphere for trainers. Becoming a professional trainer was nearly everyone's dream.

"Although they're a little weak, the trainer atmosphere is really strong," Giovanni nodded in agreement. In his opinion, although these people were weak, the passion for Pokémon training here was unmatched by their original world. The battle arenas that could be seen everywhere on the streets were almost never empty.

"Come on, let's get down to business," Cale said, preparing to take Giovanni to meet the person in charge of Strength assessing.

"Excuse me Uncles, are you two trainers?" A girl's voice suddenly sounded from behind Cale and Giovanni.

Turning around, they saw a young woman in a beige skirt standing behind them, with a live broadcast tool floating beside her. This technological product hovered in mid-air, offering a 360-degree live broadcast, a more advanced method than traditional mobile phone streams.

"Are you talking to us?" Cale frowned, clearly not liking the title "uncle."

The girl, Jess, was about 19 years old, and Cale, only about 2 years older, felt the title stung a bit.

"Yes, I'm calling you. There's no one else around, right?" Jess said playfully, sticking her tongue out at Cale and Giovanni.

Jess was a junior student in the trainer department at Mount University and had earned the title of Senior Trainer. She was also a well-known genius in school, and when she wasn't training, she broadcasted live on the Megalodon platform, challenging various rivals to improve her skills. With her sweet looks and impressive strength, she quickly gathered a large fanbase.

[Hahaha, Jess is so naughty! This guy doesn't even look 30, and she's already calling him an uncle!]

[Look at those Poké Balls! I wonder if they'll accept Jess's challenge?]

[Jess is a real Senior Trainer. If these two underestimate her because she's young, they'll be in for a shock!]

Jess's live stream chat was filled with comments.

"What do you want from us?" Cale asked, still frowning.

"Don't be so serious! I just want to have a Pokémon battle with you!" Jess waved her hand nonchalantly, inviting them for a battle.

"It's a little boring," Cale sighed, uninterested in the challenge. But Giovanni saw it differently.

"That thing," Giovanni said, motioning to Jess's live broadcast device, "can it let a lot of people know about me?"

"Well, theoretically, yes," Cale replied, glancing at Jess. He wasn't sure how big her audience was, but it seemed Giovanni was looking to get noticed.

Giovanni then stepped forward, a smile on his face. "Little sister, how about I be your rival?" He took out a Poké Ball.

"Giovanni, are you really going to bully this young girl?" Cale sighed, feeling his worldview shatter a bit. In order to gain fame and bring his son into this world sooner, Giovanni was even willing to challenge a young trainer. Was this fatherly love?

"Uncle, are you strong? I'm pretty powerful," Jess said, not backing down as she took out her own Poké Ball.

"Little sister, I suggest you think this over," Cale said kindly. "You can't beat this guy."

Standing before them was a Master Trainer, and the Pokémon Giovanni had with him were all part of his main team. Even an Elite Trainer would struggle, let alone a Senior Trainer.

[Who is this guy? He's talking so big! Jess is a Senior Trainer—let's see if he can back up his words!]

[Can't find any info on these two online. They must be nobodies.]

[Just sit back and wait for them to get crushed!]

Jess's viewers were skeptical of Cale's warning.

"Impossible! I don't believe it. Uncle, I accept your challenge!" Jess raised her chin proudly and accepted Giovanni's offer.

"Well, you asked for it. Don't say I didn't warn you," Cale sighed. If Jess ended up getting defeated badly, she couldn't blame him for not giving her a heads-up.

"Mam, go to Battle Arena 75! A new Pokémon has appeared!" a Century City staff member called to his superior, Lucy.

"New Pokémon? Let's check it out!" Lucy hurried toward the arena, eager to witness the new discovery.

Jess's eyes lit up with excitement. "A Ground-type Pokémon, huh? That sounds so cool!"

Unlike many other girls, Jess preferred Ground-type Pokémon because they gave her a strong sense of security.

"Li how about I give you the first moves?" Giovanni held up three fingers, giving her a generous offer. He knew she was talented for her age, but in his eyes, she was still a beginner.

"Uncle, don't underestimate me. I'm strong!" Jess said defiantly, determined to prove her worth.

"I'm sure you are. Go ahead, attack," Giovanni said with a small smile.

"Alright then! Nidoqueen, use Mega Punch!" Jess commanded.

"Nidoqueen!" Nidoqueen charged at Rhyperior, pulling back her fist and swinging with all her might. However, Giovanni didn't even issue a command.

Rhyperior raised one arm casually, blocking the punch with ease.

Bang!Nidoqueen's powerful Mega Punch landed on Rhyperior's arm, but the giant Pokémon didn't budge. Instead, Nidoqueen staggered back from the recoil.

"What?!" Jess gasped.

The live stream chat erupted:

[It didn't even move!]

[Is this real? Blocking that attack with just one arm?]

[How is that possible?]

"Nidoqueen, try again! Use Take Down!" Jess ordered.

Nidoqueen steadied herself and charged forward again. This time, she used all her strength, attempting to slam into Rhyperior with Take Down.

But once again, Rhyperior blocked the attack with a single arm. This time, Rhyperior was pushed back half a step, but Nidoqueen was knocked backward, hitting the ground hard.

[No way, this isn't working!]

[Rhyperior's defense is insane!]

[What kind of Pokémon is this?]

[It's like a tank!]

Jess bit her lip, determined to give it her all. "Nidoqueen, use Hyper Beam!" she commanded.

Nidoqueen struggled to stand up, gathering all her energy into her mouth. A beam of destructive light shot out toward Rhyperior.

"It's pointless," Cale shook his head. "The gap between them is too wide. Giovanni's Rhyperior is at level 95, a master-level Pokémon. Nidoqueen's attack won't even leave a scratch."

As the powerful Hyper Beam raced toward him, Rhyperior calmly crossed his arms in front of him, letting the beam hit. When the light faded, Rhyperior was still standing, completely unscathed.

Giovanni smiled at Jess. "Cease your futile struggle ad accept your faith."Giovani said as rhyperior mometum started to rise
