It was started with a harmless request, "Jessica, clear out a room for Zoey, she'll be moving in with us for the time being." 

Jessica's marriage soon ended when that 'guest' climbed up the ladder, from a guest room downstairs, to Jessica's bedroom, and then, her husband's bed. 

After losing in the fight for her husband's attention and love, Jessica realized it was time to wear back her garment of dignity and respect. She signed the divorce papers and left the country. 

Two years later, she returned as the heiress to a conglomerate, but her husband was at the airport, waiting to welcome her home. 

"When did I say I didn't love you, Jessica?" he asked.

I wanted to believe that Hilda wouldn't do something like that, but at this point, I didn't trust her anymore.

Thinking about Hilda's betrayal and Sandra's accusation really exhausted me. I tried reaching Sandra but I couldn't, perhaps, she blocked me.

I didn't see Max after that time. Not like I was deliberately searching for him, but for some weird reasons, I was feeling restless.

Standing by the school gate, looking up at the evening sky, I wondered what more surprises the day has for me. Should I confront Hilda, or pretend I knew nothing? Should I confide in Liam, or stay mute?

That was Maddie's voice. I turned in the direction and saw her running over, almost out of breath. My brows creased, what does she want now?

"I finally found you," without waiting for me to speak, she grabbed my hand and dragged me away to the cab that was waiting by the road.
