Troll Hunt Begins

And Right now, I am hiding in bushes, as I am moving from one bush to another, Although, after reaching level 10, Puddle has unlocked three skills each for his Ancient magic and one of them, is Shadow veil that reduces my presence 100%, but I am saving my mana currently as I am moving to find any Troll Patrols, as I don't know about their exact nest location.

I kept moving through the dense forest until I spotted them—a group of three trolls. This number was typical for a troll patrol, unlike the Grey Wolves, who don't bother patrolling. Instead, they rely on a dangerous skill possessed by their Alpha: Alpha Domain.

This rare domain-type skill lets the Alpha monitor everything happening within its territory. The moment anyone steps into its range, the wolves are alerted and swarm the intruder within minutes. Avoiding their territory entirely is best, as only a fool would provoke such an aggressive pack.

And it makes them the most powerful in the Black Forest. Last time, I quickly killed a few and ran away.

But now, I can't just walk into the Alpha's domain. The moment I enter, he'll know I'm back, and this time, he might come himself… Wait, isn't that actually a good way to lure him out?

I thought about it. The quest only requires me to kill one leader, but what's stopping me from going above and beyond? Extra rewards sound perfect.

I grinned, a sinister plan forming in my mind. If I lured the Alpha wolf out, I'd have a chance to bring down one of the forest's true overlords—and with that, maybe even gain some extra rewards for going above and beyond the quest's requirement.

The plan : I'll step just within the boundary of his territory. If the Alpha himself comes, great; if not, I'll simply take down the minions he sends and keep pushing until he's forced to show.

But for now, I had to secure my main objective. "One thing at a time," I muttered, turning my focus back to the trio of trolls lumbering through the trees.

"Let's take care of these guys leader first and guarantee the quest completion," I said, glancing at Puddle. My little slime companion bounced eagerly, ready for the action.

So, my spy action begin, I began to follow them from afar, as I made sure, they don't get my scent even, by moving in the direction that made the wind path from them to me.

and after half an hour of following them, I finally came across the hidden village of the Trolls.

[ First Discoverer ]

[ Int increased by 10 points ]

[ Loot drop rate and Exp gain increased by 15% each ]

I looked at the notifications as I rubbed my chin.

"hmm, I wonder what they drop best?" I thought as in Novel, it was not found out, as the players who find it were killed and then only they informed, but now I got the chance to see it.

"Great" A grin formed on my face, and why wouldn't be, after all who likes playing game they already know about, but now these hidden and new things making it interesting for me too.

After half an hour my plan was already in motion,

It is as simple as it could be.

From the nearby river, a batch of Trolls always, carry water and bring it back to this village, and I was waiting for that exact moment so when they have came with water, I have poured the Bloodburn poison in the water source.

And since it doesn't have any odor, the Trolls didn't notice anything strange as they drank from the poisoned water. I had poured the blood-burning poison in while using the Shadow Veil spell to keep myself hidden.

After a whole day, every single Troll has drunk from their well.

I pulled out my sword, eyes glinting dangerously. "Time to move."

"Kyuu~~"

"Yes, yes, you'll fight too," I said, smiling as Puddle nodded excitedly.

The blood-burning poison is now coursing through their veins. Once I engage them, the poison will react with the air, igniting like petrol exposed to fire.

Now, all I have to do is strike the first one, expose their wounds to air and then a ignition will happen and it'll spread like wildfire, dragging them to their deaths.

Clenching the sword in my hand, I took a deep breath and shouted,

"WHAT'S UP, TROLLS!"

"Human!"

"Kill the human!!"

"Orghhhhhhh!"

I chuckled as they all rushed toward me. "Magic Missile!" I chanted, and several glowing projectiles shot from my fingertips, each one striking a different Troll.

Since Trolls are physical monsters, they're highly vulnerable to magic. Each Magic Missile left a lemon-sized hole in their tough skin, and as they began to heal, a deep red burning spread from each wound. The Trolls paused, confused, as the poison ignited. Just as they tried to smother the flames, they collapsed, reduced to nothing but ashes.

It happened in an instant; within seconds, they were reduced to ashes without a chance to even scream.

"Hmm, this poison is way too powerful," I thought, looking down at the piles of ash scattered on the ground.

But I didn't stop there—I was on the hunt for more and more Trolls.

First, regular Trolls. One Magic Missile, and they were gone.

Then, Elite Trolls. A single Magic Missile, and they were reduced to ashes.

Next, Troll Warriors. They, too, fell with a single Magic Missile.

Then came a deafening roar.

"Now for the main boss," I muttered, turning toward the largest hut in the camp. From it emerged a hulking figure, towering three times the height of a regular Troll. Unlike the others, this one wasn't bloated or sluggish but had a toned, muscular body rippling with strength. This was the Troll Lord.

One of the four Overlords of Black Forest.

It was time for the real fight.
