Flynn has an edge over other players because he knows the game’s true purpose from the start, thanks to reading from the perspective of Max, the story's main character. Max is a regressor who, like Flynn, will join the game today. Max is set to choose one of the strongest classes, but Flynn knows about an even more powerful class that Max didn’t know existed. This class once made another player the second-strongest in the world, nearly on par with Max, despite the fact that Max had multiple advantages like special equipment and cheats.

Flynn plans to take this class for himself, aiming to surpass even Max in strength and gather enough power to survive the coming apocalypse. Though he has never met Max personally, Flynn's knowledge of Max’s journey gives him the insight he needs to prepare.
