Chapter 41: Self Rescharge

Maxim walked alongside Lila, basking in the warm sunlight that filtered through the trees. They had spent a delightful hour together, chatting and laughing, completely at ease in each other's company. As they strolled, Maxim couldn't help but feel lighter, more energized than he had in a long time.

"Thanks for coming out with me today," Maxim said, glancing at Lila. "It's nice to take a break from all the training."

Lila smiled, her eyes sparkling. "I love it! Plus, it's a great day. The sun feels amazing."

After their walk, they returned to the warehouse where Daniel was diligently noting down observations about Maxim's abilities. The atmosphere in the room was filled with anticipation as Maxim considered the implications of their time outside.

Upon entering, Daniel looked up from his notes. "Hey, you two! How was the walk?"

"It was great!" Lila replied, her cheeks still flushed from the sun. "But Maxim might have a new breakthrough."

Daniel raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh? What do you mean?"

Maxim, still buzzing from the energy he felt during their stroll, looked at his watch. It displayed 12%. He hadn't noticed the increase during their walk, but Daniel was quick to point it out.

"Your watch is showing 12% now," Daniel noted. "What happened out there?"

Maxim's mind raced as he recalled the sunlight hitting his skin. "I think the sun might be recharging my energy. I felt more energized while we were outside."

"Interesting," Daniel mused, jotting down more notes. "That could change everything for your training."

With newfound motivation, Maxim shifted his focus to the task at hand. "Let's test it out. I want to see how far I can push myself now that I know sunlight can recharge me."

They prepared for another training session, and Maxim decided to focus on levitation. He had always wanted to see how high he could lift himself, and now seemed like the perfect time to try.

"Alright, I'm going to attempt to float," he said, determination in his voice.

Before they began, Daniel grabbed an old mattress from a nearby storage room. "I think we should use this," he suggested. "Just in case. It'll soften your landing if you fall again."

Maxim nodded appreciatively. "Good idea. I'd rather not get hurt."

Daniel set the mattress down on the ground and stepped back, his eyes filled with encouragement. "You got this, Maxim! Just try to stay focused."

Maxim concentrated, drawing on the energy from within him and the sunlight streaming in through the windows. Slowly, he felt himself lift off the ground, a thrill coursing through him as he rose to about 1 meter.

However, maintaining the levitation required immense concentration. Just as he started to feel the thrill of floating, Daniel, unable to contain his excitement, exclaimed, "That's amazing, Maxim!"

The moment Daniel spoke, Maxim's focus shattered. He felt himself plummet to the mattress with a soft thud. "Ugh!" he groaned as he landed, the impact jolting through him. He quickly shook off the embarrassment, looking up at Daniel with a mix of frustration and determination. "I lost my focus again!"

"Sorry, man! I didn't mean to distract you," Daniel replied, concern etched on his face. "You were doing great until then."

"I know," Maxim said, pushing himself up. "I need to practice this until it feels instinctual. Just like automatic writing."

"Exactly," Daniel said, helping him up. "You've got to make it feel natural. Keep practicing!"

Maxim nodded, determination burning in his eyes. "I won't give up. If I can learn to levitate without thinking about it, I can elevate my training to a whole new level."

He took a moment to steady himself, feeling the warmth of the sun on his skin. It invigorated him, reminding him of their earlier walk. That energy had to be channeled effectively if he wanted to master levitation.

In an effort to block out the surrounding noise and distractions, Maxim closed his eyes and began to meditate. He focused on his breathing, each inhale filling him with energy and each exhale releasing any lingering doubt. He envisioned himself floating in a serene space, surrounded only by the warmth of the sun. This visualization helped him create a mental barrier against the chaos around him.

As he centered himself, Maxim felt a wave of calm wash over him. With each breath, he let go of the world outside, focusing entirely on the sensation of weightlessness he desired to achieve.

Once he felt adequately focused, he opened his eyes and prepared to lift off again. "Alright, here goes nothing," he murmured to himself.

Maxim concentrated once more, drawing on the energy from within and the sunlight streaming in through the windows. He felt himself lift slowly, hovering at about 1 meter again. This time, he resisted the urge to glance at Daniel, focusing instead on the sensation of being suspended in mid-air.

"Maxim, you're doing it!" Daniel called, his voice low and encouraging.

Maxim felt the thrill of floating, pushing himself a little higher, up to 3 meters. He concentrated harder than ever, blocking out all thoughts but the feeling of weightlessness. As he hovered, he could sense the energy coursing through him, amplifying his strength. He felt as though he could rise even higher, but he needed to maintain control.

Just as he was beginning to settle into this newfound height, he sensed Daniel's excitement bubbling up again. "That's incredible, Maxim! You're—"

But the moment Daniel spoke, Maxim's focus faltered once more. He felt himself tumbling back to the mattress below, hitting it with a less-than-graceful thud.

"Ugh!" he groaned, staring up at the ceiling, frustration bubbling within him. "I'm never going to get this right."

Daniel rushed over, concern flooding his features. "You're making progress! You just need to keep practicing."

"I know," Maxim replied, pushing himself up again. "But it's so frustrating! I want to master this."

"Mastery takes time," Daniel said. "Think of it like training a muscle. You wouldn't expect to lift heavy weights on your first day at the gym, right?"

Maxim nodded, taking a deep breath. "You're right. I just need to keep pushing through the challenges."

With that, he stood tall, ready to try again. It was a journey, one he was determined to navigate, no matter how many times he fell.

As he prepared for another attempt, he realized that this was more than just a training session; it was a test of his resilience. Each failure taught him something new, and each fall brought him closer to understanding his own potential.

"Let's do this," he said, filled with renewed energy.

He focused once more, pushing through the doubts, channeling all the energy within and around him. This time, he would rise and hold his ground, determined to defy gravity and make levitation a part of who he was.
