The Billion-Dollar Contract Is Gone

The car came to a stop at the entrance of Love Eternity Group. The security guard, upon spotting the exclusive Maybach of the CEO, hurried over to open the car door. Si Hao stepped out with Si Qian'ai in his arms.

As he passed the reception and headed straight towards the private elevator reserved for the CEO, people along the way greeted him, "Good day, President."

The assistant pressed the elevator button for him, and it wasn't until the elevator doors closed that everyone returned to their tasks.

A new receptionist, clearly smitten, couldn't help but gush, "Wow, the President is so handsome! He looks like a celestial being! I'm about to faint from his sheer presence. Even carrying a child, he exudes such elegance!"

Another receptionist, clearly less impressed with her colleague's reaction, retorted, "Stop swooning over him. He's married, and the child he was holding is their little princess!"

"I know, but a girl can still dream, right?"

...

In the CEO's office on the top floor, Si Hao turned on the television and set his daughter down on the sofa, placing an array of toys on the plush carpet for her to play with.

"If you need anything, just call Daddy," he told her before returning to his desk to work.

The little princess, after watching TV for a short while, grew bored and began playing with her Barbie dolls on the carpet.

Si Hao, while reviewing documents, would occasionally glance at her, ensuring she was entertained.

At precisely 10 a.m., the chief secretary knocked on the office door.

The little princess, mimicking her father's tone, called out, "Come in."

Amused by his daughter's adorable imitation, Si Hao couldn't help but smile.

The secretary, already familiar with the little princess, entered and saw her surrounded by toys in the otherwise pristine office. The contrast was striking.

"Sir, your meeting is about to begin," the secretary announced in a deep voice.

Si Hao nodded, acknowledging the reminder, then crouched beside his daughter, asking her, "Would you like to come with Daddy to the meeting?"

Still not fully trusting the secretaries to watch over her, he preferred to bring her along. In the past, his wife Yimengyao would accompany them, allowing him to focus during meetings.

The little princess agreed, and Si Hao scooped her up into his arms, heading for the meeting room.

Inside, the senior executives were already seated, waiting for Si Hao's arrival. When he entered, they were surprised to see not only the CEO and the secretary but also a small child.

It was one thing to bring his wife to the office, but now he was bringing his daughter to meetings? Yet, under the weight of the CEO's imposing presence, no one dared to say a word.

Si Hao placed his daughter on his lap and instructed the secretary to bring her some milk before turning to the agenda.

The little princess, seated on her father's lap, propped her chin on her tiny hand and gazed around the table, her bright, wide eyes capturing the attention of more than a few senior executives.

She looked like a doll, with her flawless features and luminous eyes—a product of impeccable genes, no doubt.

Noticing the distracted stares, Si Hao, who demanded utmost focus from his employees, couldn't tolerate the lack of attention.

"My time is precious. If you understand the situation, there's no need for further discussion," he said sternly.

Immediately, the senior executives began shaking their heads in unison. They didn't understand a thing, but they forced themselves to stop glancing at the little princess and refocused on the meeting.

Meanwhile, the little princess, bored, spotted a stack of papers and a pen on the table. Her eyes lit up.

She grabbed the pen and began drawing on the papers in front of her. Recently, her older brother had been doing homework at home, and she had taken an interest. He had even taught her how to hold a pen and draw simple shapes. Now was her chance to put that practice to use…

None of the executives noticed her drawing, as their eyes were glued to their laptops.

It wasn't until she accidentally knocked over her cup of milk, making a small sound, that the chief secretary noticed her scribbling on what appeared to be a contract.

"Sir, uh… the little princess, she…"

Si Hao glanced down at his daughter, noticing the lopsided circle and small dots she had drawn, which resembled a sun.

Seeing the nervous expression on the secretary's face, the executives followed his gaze to the little princess and were startled, gasping in shock.

Sensing the sudden attention, the little princess looked up at her father, her head tilted in confusion. Seeing him staring at her drawing, she asked, "Daddy, do you think my drawing is pretty?"

Si Hao, taking the ruined contract in hand, smiled at her, "Of course, sweetheart. It's beautiful!"

The little princess beamed at the praise and eagerly continued her artwork.

The senior executives, bracing themselves for an outburst from their CEO over the million-dollar contract, were left utterly bewildered: It wasn't just a few hundred thousand—it was a billion-dollar contract! Yet, not only was the CEO unfazed, he even praised his daughter for her drawing...

A billion-dollar contract, gone! Sure, we know you're rich, but there's no need to be this extravagant!

After the meeting ended, Si Hao carried the little princess back to his office.

The secretary, hesitant but knowing he had to ask, said, "Sir, about the contract…"

Si Hao, casually twirling a pen in his hand, replied, "I never had much interest in working with that company. Now that the contract is ruined, I have a good excuse to back out. I'll pay the breach fee. Do you think I'm short on cash?"

The secretary, screaming internally: *You might not be, but I sure am!* He nodded and said, "Understood, I'll call their company and explain."

...

Later that evening, after work, Si Hao returned home with the little princess.

Yimengyao was already back, and the living room was filled with shopping bags from her recent trip.

Upon seeing her mother, the little princess gleefully called out, "Mommy, we're back!"

Yimengyao took the little princess from Si Hao's arms, gently patting her head, "Did you have fun today?"

"Mmmhmm," the little princess nodded enthusiastically.

She then turned to her father, "Daddy, where's my drawing? I want to show Mommy."

Si Hao pulled out the contract she had drawn on, now decorated with suns, flowers, and grass, and handed it to Yimengyao.

The little princess, her eyes shining with excitement, asked, "Is it pretty?"

Yimengyao first noticed the large "Contract" at the top of the paper, and then the whimsical drawings below. She shot her husband a questioning look: *What's this? Is this contract useless now?*

Si Hao returned her a knowing glance: *Answer her first. I'll explain later.*

"It's beautiful. You did an amazing job, sweetheart," Yimengyao said, responding to her daughter's eager gaze.

The little princess was overjoyed to hear the praise again. "Where's my brother? Has he come back yet?"

"He's upstairs doing his homework."

"I want to go up too."

Yimeng Yao asked the butler to take Si Qian'ai upstairs. "Uncle Lin, please take her up." The whole family was particularly cautious about Si Qian'ai, fearing she might encounter another accident. They couldn't bear the thought, so they were extremely protective.

The butler, Uncle Lin, in his forties, had watched Si Hao grow up and had been by his side ever since. Both Si Hao and Yimeng Yao trusted him completely, and it was clear he had a genuine fondness for Si Qian'ai.

With a gentle smile, Uncle Lin said, "Little princess, let me take you upstairs."

Only after Uncle Lin escorted Si Qian'ai upstairs did Yimeng Yao turn to Si Hao, asking, "What exactly happened? If I'm not mistaken, wasn't this contract just signed recently?"

Si Hao could only tell her the truth. After hearing it, Yimeng Yao was at a loss for words.

Si Hao comforted her with a warm embrace. "It's okay, none of this matters. What matters is that she's safe and sound by our side."

Yimeng Yao, as if reminded of something, suddenly reddened her eyes. "Yes, as long as she's with us, that's all that matters." The whole family felt indebted to their daughter, striving to give her the most indulgent love.

Si Hao gently stroked her face with affection. "It's alright, don't think too much. I'm here."

...

On the second floor, Uncle Lin walked the little princess to the door of the room where her brothers were doing their homework. He made sure she entered before leaving.

As soon as she entered, the little princess called out, "Big brother, second brother," and walked over to them.

Si Mohan had already finished his homework and was reading, while Si Moxuan was still busy with his assignments. Hearing their sister's voice, both paused what they were doing.

Si Moxuan happily hugged her. "Xiao Ai, you're back!"

"Yes, yes," the little princess blinked her clear, watery eyes.

Si Mohan asked her gently, "Did you have fun at the office today?"

The little princess excitedly told them that she had learned to draw what Si Moxuan had taught her last time, and she had wanted to show it to her brothers. But she had left the drawing with their mother and had forgotten to bring it up.

Both Si Mohan and Si Moxuan praised her again.

Hearing her brothers' praise, the smile on her little face grew even brighter.

"Brother, I want to go to school too." Staying at home was just too boring; she wanted to do homework as well.

Si Mohan thought that since she was already three, she could probably attend kindergarten, though he feared their parents might be reluctant to let her go. "We'll ask mom and dad later."

Si Moxuan was thrilled at the idea of going to school with their sister. Although they were in the preschool class and she would be in the nursery class, it would still be in the same school.

Their school was the best in City A, offering education from kindergarten through elementary. Their family was also one of the major shareholders of the school.

The students who attended either came from exceptionally wealthy families or were exceptionally talented. However, the school was quite far from their home, requiring a drive of over half an hour, so they usually stayed for lunch rather than going home. Their parents would surely find it hard to part with Xiao Ai.

...

During dinner, the little princess brought up the subject. "Daddy, Mommy, I want to go to school like my brothers."

Yimeng Yao was startled. "Oh, you want to go to school too?" She felt like time had flown by. Her daughter was already three and ready for school, but the thought of it made her reluctant. Once Xiao Ai started school, they would only see her in the mornings and evenings.

The little princess nodded resolutely, making it clear that she wanted to go to school.

Yimeng Yao glanced at Si Hao, silently asking him what they should do.

Si Hao thought for a moment. "If she wants to go, let her." After all, their daughter would grow up eventually.

The little princess beamed with joy. "Thank you, Daddy!"

Yimeng Yao could only agree. After all, they couldn't keep their daughter by their side forever.

...

Later that evening, while chatting with Yu Tiantian, Yimeng Yao mentioned that Si Qian'ai would be going to school. Yu Tiantian comforted her. "Our Yaonan and Yaonan are also in the senior kindergarten class there. They can all go to school together and come home together!"

Yimeng Yao: "I guess that's the way it has to be."

Yu Tiantian: "That's the spirit! During the day, I can keep you company anyway, since neither of us has much to do."

Yimeng Yao: "Alright then, where should we go shopping tomorrow?"

Yu Tiantian: "Let's go to Li Mo Mall. I remember there's a new clothing line launching tomorrow. We can go check it out."

Yimeng Yao knew how much she loved shopping, especially when it came to clothes—she was a little obsessed.

Yimeng Yao: "You probably have enough clothes to last a lifetime. Why do you keep buying more?"

Yu Tiantian: "I just can't help myself!" (blushing face) Her husband would order custom-made clothes for her from abroad every month, but it still wasn't the same as personally going to the mall.

Yimeng Yao: "Well, it's a good thing you have a wealthy husband. Otherwise, I don't think anyone could afford your lifestyle!"

Li's Group was one of the top ten companies in the world, so supporting ten Yu Tiantians probably wouldn't be a problem.

Yu Tiantian: "If he wasn't rich, I wouldn't be with him!" (proud face)

Yimeng Yao: "..."

Yimeng Yao knew she was joking. Yu Tiantian wasn't that kind of person. In the past, when she didn't have money, she wore the same clothes for years without throwing them away, and she had gotten by just fine.

After finishing their conversation, Yu Tiantian went to the door of Li Yaonan's room and knocked before entering. Li Yaonan was reading a book.

"Son, Xiao Ai will also be going to school tomorrow. She'll be in the nursery class, so remember to play with her during breaks!"

Li Yaonan replied, "Alright, Sweetie, you can leave now. I'm about to go to sleep." This time, Li Yaonan didn't forget to call her "Sweetie."

How much did she like Si Qian'ai? She had been talking about her nonstop for days.

Yu Tiantian turned to leave but then came back, pouting, "Tsk, do you think I wanted to come?"

Li Yaonan: "..." No one asked you to come!

The next morning.

Since it was the little princess's first day of school, even though the school had been informed in advance, Si Hao and Yimeng Yao were still worried about whether Si Qian'ai would adapt, so they decided to take her themselves.

Si Mohan and Si Moxuan were also excited because, when they first started school, they didn't receive such royal treatment. Their father had told them they were boys and could go by themselves.

Given their personalities, their parents didn't worry about them, so they let the driver take them to school.

After breakfast, the family of five set off for the school together.

When the vehicle stopped at the school gate, the principal and a few teachers were waiting to greet them.

It was as if a VIP had arrived, and many parents couldn't help but peek into the car to see who it was.

As soon as Si Hao got out of the car, several mothers were left speechless. How could someone be so handsome?

Meanwhile, a few of the fathers immediately recognized him. Since many of the children at this elite school came from wealthy families, most of the parents had done business in the corporate world. How could they not recognize him? Many companies competed for the chance to collaborate with him.

Why was the CEO of Wei Ai Group here? They had never seen him at the school before. If they could establish a connection, that would be great.

And if their children could become friends with the young masters of the Si family, it would be a blessing!
