[Present Day – Frozen Peak]
Kaelissa, Kaelrin, Kaelmar, and their soldiers rode swiftly through the relentless snowstorm of Frozen Peak.
Though their horses' hooves made little noise, each step sent vibrations echoing faintly through the icy terrain.
"Are you sure it's this way?" Kaelrin asked, his voice barely audible over the howling wind as he matched his sister's pace.
Kaelissa didn't look back, her gaze fixed ahead. Her Qi senses pulsed steadily, confirming the path. "Yes. We're close. I can feel the remnants of Qi—just a little farther."
Kaelrin sighed, frustrated but resigned. He couldn't sense anything, but trusting Kaelissa was their only option.
Behind them, Kaelmar adjusted his glasses, glancing over his shoulder at the soldiers struggling to keep up. They'd already lost too many men to Zhang Wei's forces—losing more now was unacceptable.
