Goodbye:

The cool breeze whistled as the dark gray clouds spread over the night sky. It was the month of July, and summer was going on in the USA. But the muggy and humid weather transformed into drizzly and chilly weather.

The cool breeze which was whistling earlier was now taking the shape of the violent storm. All these transformations were getting noticed by someone, who was currently sitting in front of her window of the tallest skyscraper which was located at the heart of the city.

The girl was looking outside of her enormous window while sitting and noticing the changes of the weather. She was just staring out of the window. It seemed like she was thinking something. Her room was dark, as not a single light was switched on. It was pitch dark; one could not see what was going on inside. No one can even see what she was doing. Suddenly, the thunder struck. And the light flashed. It brightened the whole room. She did not even bother to flinch. It seemed like she was in deep thought.

But after the light struck, brightening the whole room, one could clearly see the girl, tears were flowing from her beautiful cat eyes, looking like pearls, her eyes turned red. It seemed like she was crying for a long time. Her little button nose and her slightly chubby cheeks were also red. Her red plumpy lips were making her look seductive, without even trying anything to look like that. Her long jet black hair was open which fell on her shoulders and reached to her waist looking like a waterfall. She was sitting on the ground unbothered by everything which she could see through her window. Her whole room was messed up. Broken fragments of vase, glass, and many other things were lying on the ground. The bedsheet, the pillows and everything were messed up. It was looking like she vented her anger.

The previous strong wind now transformed into a heavy downpour. But she was still in her own thoughts completely oblivious of everything happening around her.

While she was thinking, her room’s door was knocked gently. A voice entered her ear, “Miss, Madam said she will have to work overtime, so…”. She paused for a few seconds and then continued, “You can have dinner by yourself.”. Throughout the time when the housekeeper was speaking, she did not interrupt or react. But after the last sentence, she turned her face away from the window to look back towards the door and said in her gentle, sweet yet broken voice, “I don’t feel like having anything. You can take your leave”. The voice of the house keeper again sounded, “Got it, Miss”. After a few seconds, the footsteps of the housekeeper sounded to fade.

When the housekeeper left and no sounds could be heard, only then did the girl turn her head back towards the window. Her previous tears dried up against her cheeks. She was looking at the window staring outside for about 2 minutes. Then she slowly got up from the ground and walked towards the enormous window, which opened into a balcony, some of the droplets of the heavy rain fell on her face. She walked towards the palisade with her slow steps and looked at the sky pointlessly.

The strong wind hit her face as if someone was slapping her back to reality, but she could not think of anything. She was staring at the sky continuously. At that moment, a thunder struck bringing her back to reality.

Her tears started to fall again. She began to sob softly while looking at the sky. Somehow, she tried to control her sobs and said in her broken voice, “Mom, I am going. Please take care of yourself. Your Mahikaa is sorry for hurting you.” Saying this, she broke down in tears completely.
