Holden

It had been over three hours since Mystic had received the shocking news of her life. I currently, remained silent behind Kylan as he led me to my private Chambers. I still couldn't understand what was going on. Don't even know how to react to all these. On top of that, I still haven't recovered from the death of my mother. How had everything gone haywire within hours?

Kylan clears his throat ahead of me, snapping me out of my thoughts. I lazily drag my eyes from an antique only to stare at his back. He could tell that I was lost in my thoughts without sparing a glance at me.

"What are you thinking about?" He suddenly asked as we turned down a corner in the third hall way.

I don't answer, I shift my gaze to a painting themed with choas, disaster, and a fragile ray of predicted peace. A sigh escapes my lips at the thought, " it would be best if you didn't know." I say.

He doesn't push it.
