Chapter 66| A Pain In The Neck

In all but an instant, the four of them found themselves back in the Spirit Clan.

The air was damp, thick with the scent of decaying leaves, and a dense fog engulfed the entire area. Towering, withered trees stretched toward the sky, their skeletal branches clawing at the horizon. The sun, an eerie red orb, hung low in the distance, its light barely penetrating the gloom. The silence was unnatural, pressing against them like an unseen force.

"Both our fathers will be furious when they find out we’re stuck here," Cealric muttered, his voice laced with dry amusement. His arms were crossed as he strolled through the eerie terrain, as if getting lost in such a place was nothing more than a minor inconvenience.
