Chapter 10 : Hunting and big pig.

After skinning the two goblins, we continued to walk through the forest. It wasn't too hard to find more goblins. After about ten minutes, we found another one, which I easily defeated. For the small groups, I fought them all by myself, but for the larger groups, Maya helped me by holding back some goblins with the rose maid, whom I will call Or.

Little by little, I managed to not need Or. Maya even complimented me, hehe~. These goblins gave me 100 star points each, a hundred points less than my first one, but it's still a good thing given the cost of skills and the unique skill.

The quest from the adventurers' guild was finished, but we didn't leave right away. First, Maya wanted to complete the magician's request, and secondly, there were also materials that could enhance the doll mask's clothing, whether to transform the clothes for attack or defense.

As for improving Maya's pentains, the materials are more mineral than leather. For leather, we need to find the right kind that can fuse with the minerals with attributes. And in this forest, there isn't any.

Unfortunately, we didn't find the plant with a thousand facets. It's a bit too rare, but it's not too serious; we plan to come back often. As we headed toward the forest exit, a boar as big as a small car appeared.

"Go ahead, darling. Don't be afraid; if it goes badly, I will protect you."

"Okay!"

I put on the mask, increased the defense of my clothes, lengthened and transformed my umbrella, and got ready. Meanwhile, Maya ordered the inverse maid, Earth, to prepare to use earth magic to protect me.

The boar stomped its foot on the ground, and a bloody red aura burst from its body, turning its eyes red as well. It charged extremely fast, so fast that I had a hard time dodging, injuring part of my right arm and detaching it. But at the last moment, before it could touch me, I opened the umbrella, giving it scratches all over its side.

I jumped to the side and began to channel my mana into my right arm. Although it started to heal, it was very slow.

"If you can reattach your arm to your shoulder, healing will become easier, quicker, and more efficient."

"Okay."

I didn't rush to retrieve my remaining arm but rather went for my umbrella. Fortunately, the boar took some time to turn, which allowed me to retrieve my umbrella more easily.

I circled around the boar, striking it or keeping the tip of my umbrella on its skin. After several laps and disorienting it, I placed the umbrella on the lower part of my back, connecting the fabrics, and with my left hand, I reattached my right arm while maximizing the regeneration. My arm stuck back on and healed much faster than if I had to regenerate it from scratch.

I grabbed the umbrella with my right hand and made it as pointy as possible. Then, while still circling, I aimed and drove the tip into its front right leg. In the same position, my arm and hand twisted into an impossible angle for a normal human arm, plunging into its front left leg before slicing horizontally toward its back legs.

At the same time, my left hand delivered a punch to the side of the boar's face.

"Mmh… When I come back, in addition to improving the outfits and umbrella, I'll get gloves. And stockings too."

"I'm sure my little Mina will find a way to use them."

With three legs no longer working, it was easy to kill this big pig. I simply stabbed the boar in the eyes with the umbrella.

"So? Can you use it?"

"Yes, darling. You preserved the leather well."

I was as happy as a little girl! After showing me how to skin it, we left the forest with the life tree she had hidden with dirt. We went home to store the half-cut tree, having left the roots in the forest so that the tree could grow back.

Then we went to the adventurers' guild to submit the proof of the hunt and sell the remains of the goblins we killed, earning some coins from the sale and completing the quest. Maya is rich, especially since she has a magic card that works like a credit card. But having a bit of extra money, even a little, is always good.

At first, Maya wanted to use the life tree to enhance my Doll mask, but I actively refused, to the point that when she insisted, I kept the mask in my mana heart. In the end, she had no choice but to create a base for the pentain.

Fortunately, we found wood plants and other materials that could enhance the base of the pentain. Although still non-functional, the pentain is more than a healer; it will also be able to perform wood magic.

"By the way, why did you give such colors to your pentains?"

"I actually made them randomly."

"Why not change them? For example, for Or, you could use a golden color and add some patterns. She would look nice while being a badass tank."

"You know what? I'll do that when I find leather that can be enhanced by minerals."

We continued to talk enthusiastically, describing various outfits for the three maids with their patterns and everything else. By the way, the three helped the pentains that clean automatically. The difference between them is quite visible. The three pentains linked to Maya seem alive, while those not linked look more like robots.

"Darling, I'm curious. Why are your unlinked pentains so rigid? At the restaurant, the pentains were very realistic."

"The difference is that I don't study pentains much outside of those linked to me."

"The craftomancer from the restaurant is already old, so his knowledge and experience are superior to mine. And he is even crazier than I am in every category."

"I mostly focus on masks since that's what I love the most."

Several days passed, and the hunting continued. We didn't find the plant with a thousand facets, but it seemed something was off for Maya.
