[Orochimaru in girl body so I used girl pronoun she for him.]
Naruto focused as he infused his Qi into the ball, activating the needles inside. With a sharp hum, ninety-five needles shot out, but five dropped to the ground instantly. Among the remaining ninety, five were slightly off trajectory. Naruto frowned, quickly removing them. Now, he had ninety needles fully under his control.
Using Qi threads, he manipulated the needles, making them dance in the air. In his past life, he had controlled a million swords with ease, but now he struggled with barely a hundred. This weakness frustrated him, pushing him to refine his abilities as soon as possible.
His current Qi threads were basic and lacked the sharpness of formless Qi threads. Formless Qi threads required more energy and were limited to ten, but in his current state, he could only manage four or five. Setting aside the ninety needles, he kept only five in the air. He then formed formless Qi threads and controlled the remaining needles precisely. One of them wavered slightly but still followed his commands.
Just as Naruto was about to adjust his control, a sudden hissing sound reached his ears.
"Hissssssssssss!"
A massive snake, twelve feet long with a thick body, moved toward him. Its head rose in a curved movement, just before the tree and flicking its tongue in and out, producing a chilling sound.
"hissssssssssssssss"
Naruto reacted instantly. He launched four needles wrapped in his red demonic Qi. The needles shot forward at incredible speed, piercing the snake's unscaled body with ease. The force carried the needles past the snake, looping around a nearby tree before tightening like a snare.
The snake struggled, its head twisting side to side in a desperate attempt to escape. Naruto pulled the Qi threads with force, and in an instant, the snake was sliced cleanly into five pieces. The tree also bore marks of the attack, with deep cuts as if struck by an axe. However, it remained standing. Naruto realized that while his formless Qi threads were sharp, they weren't strong enough to bring down a whole tree.
Originally, he had planned to tie the snake to the tree and finish it with his sword, but its lack of scales made it far too easy to cut through. He noted that formless Qi threads could easily slice through normal humans and unarmored snakes, but stronger opponents, like Kakashi or heavily scaled snakes, would be much harder.
After dealing with the snake, Naruto suddenly heard the distant sounds of battle. He narrowed his eyes.
"A fight? Someone must be battling over treasure."
Moving toward the commotion, Naruto arrived to see Sasuke locked in combat with a girl—though Naruto quickly sensed something was off. To the side, Sakura lay unconscious against a tree.
Naruto swiftly carried Sakura to a higher branch and laid her down, choosing not to wake her. He knew she would likely suggest a group attack, but he had no interest in stopping the fight. If anything, he was enjoying watching Sasuke get beaten. It was satisfying.
Both Sasuke and the girl (Orochimaru in disguise) paused momentarily upon noticing Naruto's presence. Their gazes locked onto him.
The girl directly said to Sasuke, "hand over the scroll"
Sasuke said with momentary puzzeled face, "i don't have any scroll, even if i have one. I will not give you"
Naruto taking his scroll and casually raised his hand, holding out a scroll. "If you want this, I'll give it to you."
The girl extended her hand, eyes gleaming with interest. Naruto tossed the Heaven Scroll toward her.
Sasuke's eyes widened in disbelief. "Coward… giving up the scroll so easily."
naruto didn't react much for his words.
Before the girl could catch it, Sasuke leaped up and grabbed it midair.
Orochimaru smirked looking at Naruto. "I only want to fight him. Don't interfere."
Naruto shrugged. "Go ahead. I won't stop you."
Sasuke's heart darkened at Naruto's words. His trust had already been shattered once—his own brother, Itachi, had betrayed him, wiping out their entire clan and leaving him alive only to torment him and laugh at his face. This impacted him not to trust anyone and made a mindset to make use all people around him as things. Now, Naruto, his teammate, had betrayed him as well. The wounds of betrayal grew deeper and his mindset and non trusting increased.
Naruto saw Sasuke's hesitation and spoke again. "I know you want revenge. I don't know how strong your brother is, but this girl is powerful. If you use her as a stepping stone, you might stand a chance against Itachi in the future."
Both Sasuke and the girl fell silent.
Sasuke's battle spirit ignited. "Yeah… that makes sense!"
Orochimaru chuckled. "Beating Itachi? With your current strength?"
She sneered. "I once fought your brother. I couldn't even land a single hit on him. His Sharingan is on par with Madara's. You? With your mediocre strength? You won't even get close to Itachi."
The words fueled Sasuke's hatred. His rage exploded. "SHUT UP! Let's fight!"
The battle resumed, but Orochimaru only toyed with Sasuke, barely using any strength.
Sasuke gritted his teeth. "You are a nobody. You can't possibly have met Itachi! You're bluffing!"
Orochimaru smirked. "A nobody? I am the great Orochima...."
she stopped her words not to spill more beans.
She didn't reveal her true form, but simply uttering the name caused the air to vibrate with sheer presence. The oppressive aura pressed down on Sasuke.
Sasuke still doubted her identity but acknowledged her strength. "Strong words…"
[***some strong words...]
Furious, Sasuke spat, "If you were born from a single mother and father, don't hold back! Fight me seriously!"
Naruto blinked. "Is he crazy?"
That comment struck a nerve in Orochimaru. The legendary Sannin deeply respected his father, and his hatred for Konoha stemmed from the village betraying and falsely accusing his father, leading to his death. No one knew this secret.
Orochimaru's face darkened. "You dare…"
In a blur of motion, Orochimaru attacked. Moving at lightning speed, she struck every part of Sasuke's body, breaking bones and leaving him on the verge of death. Sasuke swayed, drowsy and weak.
Sensing three Jonin-level presences approaching, Orochimaru calculated her options. She could defeat them as easy as cake, but with her grand plan to destroy the village soon, it wasn't worth the trouble.
Deciding to leave, Orochimaru stretched her neck unnaturally like a snake, sinking her fangs into Sasuke's shoulder. The cursed seal formed on his skin, its dark markings spreading.
Orochimaru leaned in close and whispered, "If you seek strength for revenge, come to me. I will make you stronger."
She began retreating, her head slithering back to her body. Just as she was about to reattach, Naruto acted.
Naruto Tilted his head slightly, he saw the exam invigilator, Anko and two men approaching. Not wanting to appear suspicious, he made his move.
With blinding speed, Naruto struck Orochimaru's head, channeling Qi into his fist. The impact sent the head flying back before it could attach the girl body. His head and body fly outside the branch and struck a tree. A crack split the girl's face, peeling away the disguise and revealing the pale, scaly white skin beneath.
Orochimaru hurriedly reattached her body and fled, but not before shooting Naruto a venomous glare.
Moments later, the three newcomers arrived. They took in the scene: Sasuke on the verge of death, Sakura unconscious in the tree, and Naruto standing there without a single scratch or drop of blood on him.
