Chapter 12: If I can’t have it then I’ll destroy it.

Everyone was stunned, their shock resonating through the silent room as they took in Lucifer's unexpected aggression.

No one had anticipated him to act so brazenly, the most shocked person was no one other than Lu Jing who got hit.

Lu Jing accustomed to his half-brother's cold disdain, had never thought Lucifer would actually raise a hand against him.

Now, as he staggered, clutching his aching stomach, he looked up and locked eyes with Lucifer. The pale, icy blue gaze that met him was utterly devoid of empathy, filled only with cold contempt.

A heavy silence hung over the room, broken only by Lu Jing's strained breaths. He could feel the weight of everyone's stunned gazes, their eyes flitting between him and Lucifer with expressions of sheer disbelief.

Humiliation burned through Lu Jing as he clenched his fists, a faint shudder betraying his anger and hurt. "Ugh…" he groaned, pain radiating from his abdomen as he struggled to steady himself.

"Lu Jing!" Aurelia, his mother, was the first to recover from her shock. She hurried over, supporting her son as he tried to stand, her eyes wide with a mix of anger and fear. "You!" she hissed, turning her glare toward Lucifer, her face pale with fury.

Father Lu's face was dark with rage, his voice thundering through the room. "How dare you, Lucifer!" he was unable to fathom how his son could so easily disregard his brother, his own family.

But Lucifer merely glanced at them, his expression unreadable, before he turned and strode purposefully toward Lu Jing once more, his footsteps echoing in the tense silence.

System 4858 opened its eyes glanced at the world's lucky son and closed its back in disappointment.

At the start, when the system started to realise the sinister side of its host, it could only rely on the lucky sons to teach the tyrant host a lesson but time and again, Lucifer had proved to be invincible, defying every attempt to go against him.

However, the system didn't give up and tried its best but no matter what kind of world he was transmigrated into or whatever scenarios he was in, Lucifer always became a final winner.

Of course, System also gets beaten by its host and he loses contact with the lord god and the system centre so System has no choice but to admit defeat.

However, until today the system had a tiny bit of hope for the lucky child but now the tiny hope has also started to waver.

"You! How dare you lay a hand on my son?" Aurelia's voice shook with rage and disbelief. But Lucifer, indifferent to her demands, merely responded with a swift, brutal answer.

Slap!

The sound of the slap reverberated through the room, but it wasn't Lu Jing who bore the strike. It was Aurelia.

She stumbled, one hand instinctively flying to her cheek as her eyes widened in horror and pain. The metallic tang of blood seeped into her mouth, and for a moment, she was struck speechless, utterly stunned that Lucifer would dare lay a hand on her.

"You… you!" Aurelia stammered, her voice thick with a mix of anger and shame. Her hand trembled as she touched her cheek, still hot and stinging from the blow.

"Mother…" Lu Jing's voice was strained as he looked at his mother's bruised face. Anger welled up within him, momentarily overshadowing his fear of his brother. "Lucifer, you've gone too far!" His voice was defiant, but his words only served to deepen Lucifer's contempt.

Slap!

Another slap, hard and unrelenting, struck Lu Jing's cheek, leaving a matching red mark that mirrored Aurelia's. Both mother and son looked helplessly toward Father Lu, desperate for his intervention.

Father Lu's expression was dark and filled with barely controlled fury, his authority as the head of the household being challenged, "Lucifer, that's enough," he commanded, his voice rigid with anger. " How dare you raise your hand against your elder?"

"That's right! How dare you beat people at will?"

"That's right!" echoed the elderly relatives, their voices filled with condemnation. "How dare you treat your family this way? A motherless child behaving like a thug!" Their voices, thick with anger, sought to shame Lucifer, but he regarded them all with chilling detachment.

Lucifer's gaze shifted to Aurelia, his lips curling into a smirk. "Interfere one more time, and I'll ensure you bear scars for the rest of your life," he warned, his voice low but filled with menace. His hand lifted ever so slightly, and Aurelia's courage shattered.

Instinctively, she released her grip on her son and took a fearful step back, her face blanching at the thought of her beauty—the one asset she held dear in high society—being marred. She could still feel the sting of his slap, and the threat hung heavy in the air.

Others also want to stop him but seeing the digger's pale blue eyes no one dares to say a word.

At that moment, Aurelia and Lu Jing understood: Lucifer had no intention of stopping whatever he was going to do and no one could stop him.

The system looked at Father Lu and the others, shaking its head in disappointment. 'If the tyrant actually possessed any trace of morality, then the lucky children from the previous worlds would have succeeded long ago.'

It understood how utterly merciless Lucifer could be, and this wasn't even close to his most brutal side. 'Miserable, too miserable ' the System muttered to itself, 'Blame yourself for daring to challenge a tyrant host.'

Lucifer, unflinching, coldly raised his foot and delivered another vicious kick to Lu Jing's stomach. The man doubled over, collapsing to the ground in visible agony. This time, however, no one dared to speak up; no one moved to his aid.

Lucifer's eerie calmness lingered, devoid of any flicker of anger or frustration. His lack of visible emotion was more terrifying than rage, making everyone present feel a creeping sense of dread.

Without a word, Lucifer leaned down, glancing at Lu Jing, who writhed on the ground in pain and delivered another sharp kick to his knees.

"Aaagh!" Lu Jing's scream pierced the air, a raw sound filled with agony. He had never experienced pain like this, and as he lay there, trembling, he felt a wave of regret.

He could hardly believe this was the same calm, gentle brother he had known—a brother who had somehow turned into this ruthless stranger.

Minutes passed, but Lucifer did not relent. He continued to beat Lu Jing, his attacks measured but deliberate. He aimed not to cause lethal injury but to ensure every blow landed where it would hurt the most.

"I let you jump around because it amused me," he said, his voice disturbingly calm. "But you've crossed the line." Lucifer doesn't care what Lu Jing says about the original owner's mother, he doesn't share any emotional connection but he changes his mind because he feels bored.

"Not the face! Don't hit him in the face! He's a public figure; if you ruin his looks, his fans will be furious!" one of Lu Jing's cousins protested. He appeared anxious, but a glint in his eye betrayed his hidden satisfaction.

Everyone around stared at the cousin in disbelief, wondering where his loyalty truly lay.

Lucifer paused momentarily, a slight grin creeping across his lips as he considered the cousin's remark. Lu Jing, sensing the shift, felt a surge of dread,

but it was too late—Lucifer grabbed him by the collar, mercilessly slapping him until his face was bruised and swollen.

Then an idea struck Lucifer.

Smirking, he reached into Lu Jing's pocket, pulled out his phone, and snapped a series of photos of his battered face.

System 4858, seeing what was coming, lifted its metaphorical hands to shield its vision, unable to bear the humiliation unfolding.

'System,' Lucifer said, a hint of mischief in his tone.

"Yes, Lord Host!" The system responded and looked at the lucky son with pity. 'miserable so miserable.'

Lucifer glanced down at the phone in his hand. 'Upload these photos online,' he ordered his voice calm yet laced with malice. 'And ensure they stay there. Permanently.'

System's eyes widened with shock and a touch of sorrow for Lu Jing. 'How unfortunate, truly unfortunate,' it thought, yet dutifully replied, "Yes! Right away!" Without hesitation, System 4858 worked to ensure the photos would circulate endlessly.

After blocking all incoming calls and messages on the phone, Lucifer tossed it back at Lu Jing with a dismissive flick of his wrist.

Turning, he strode away, leaving Lu Jing lying battered on the floor. Dazed and bruised, Lu Jing barely grasped the gravity of what had just occurred, nor the trouble that was now brewing for him.

The others in the room, still stunned, looked on as Lucifer's figure vanished down the stairs. A collective sigh of relief filled the space as the tension finally released.

Father Lu, seething with anger, took a deep breath before barking orders. "What are you all standing around for? Get a car ready and take him to the hospital—now!" He stormed away, leaving everyone else scrambling to carry out his orders.

Those remaining quickly began to attend to Lu Jing, the air thick with shock and unease, each wondering about the man Lucifer had become.
