UNEXPECTED

As Kyle, Kelvin, and Kingsley collectively known as the K3, arrived at school, the students buzzed with excitement. Girls squealed and whispered, "Oh my god, look at them! They're so cute!" and "I wish I had their style." Some claimed to be friends with the K3, hoping to associate themselves with the elite group.

The girls primped and preened, vying for the attention of the handsome trio. Kyle, the charming sports enthusiast, Kelvin, the tech whiz, and Kingsley, the fashion icon, seemed unfazed by the commotion.

Meanwhile, Nelly and Jed, who had arrived separately, slipped into their class, drawing less attention.

In class, Nelly sat at the front, focused on the lesson. Jed, who had arrived later, scanned the room and spotted her. A smile spread across his face.

After the lecture, as students filed out, Summer headed to the library. Suddenly, a voice interrupted her stride.

"Hi."

She ignored the greeting, pretending no one was beside her.

"Excuse me," the voice repeated, followed by a gentle tap on her shoulder.

Summer spun around, her face flushed with annoyance. "Are you insane?" she snapped, before turning back to her book.

Kingsley, the sports bike enthusiast, smiled mischievously. He had made a bet with his friends that he could get Summer's attention, and now he was determined to win.

Just then, Kingsley's friends, watching from afar, cheered him on. "Go, Kingsley!" one of them whispered.

Kingsley's eyes locked onto Summer's, and he whispered, "I'm not giving up."

Summer's expression remained frosty, but Kingsley's confidence grew.

As Kingsley tried to get Summer's attention, he asked, "What's your name?"

But Summer remained unresponsive, lost in her thoughts.

Kingsley tapped her again, this time more insistently.

Suddenly, Summer spun around and slapped Kingsley's face. The sound echoed through the hallway, drawing the attention of curious students.

"Is that Kingsley? Did he just get slapped by a girl? Oh my gosh!" someone whispered.

The crowd murmured, shocked by the unexpected turn of events. "Why did she slap him? Was it because he was trying to talk to her?"

summer recalled the incident on the first day of school when she had accidentally bumped into Kingsley and his friends, and they had roughly pushed her away.

Summer's eyes blazed with anger as she faced Kingsley. "Never ask me anything again. Don't cross my path. Don't disturb me."

Her words cut deep, laced with venom. "I wonder when you started seeking my attention. Let me make one thing clear: I'm not a fool, so don't mess with me."

With that, she turned and walked away, leaving Kingsley stunned and embarrassed.

Kingsley's friends rushed to his side, shocked by the sudden outburst.

"Seriously, bro? What just happened?" Kai asked, eyes wide with wonder.

Kelvin shook his head. "It's going to be hard, bro. She's not someone to mess with."

The group fell silent, still reeling from Summer's fiery response.

Kingsley, still reeling from the slap, beat a hasty retreat, leaving his friends in an awkward silence. Summer headed to the burger shop to grab a bite.

As she waited in line, Kingsley tapped her again, this time more cautiously. Summer turned, her expression wary.

"What?" she asked curtly.

Kingsley apologized, "I'm sorry for what happened earlier. I didn't mean to upset you."

Summer's expression softened slightly. "Apology accepted."

Just as she turned to leave, Kingsley grabbed her hand. Summer spun around, surprise etched on her face.

"Please don't reject me," Kingsley pleaded, holding out a burger. "I already bought two. Let me give you one."

Summer's gaze lingered on the burger before she accepted it with a simple "Thanks."

Kingsley smiled, relieved, but his respite was short-lived.

Summer smashed the burger onto Kingsley's face, staining his white shirt. "Monster!" she exclaimed, a sly smile spreading across her face.

As she walked away, Kingsley stood frozen, burger bits dripping from his face.

Students gathered, aghast at the spectacle. "Oh my gosh, Kingsley's received a lot of disgrace from this girl!"

Kelvin approached, eyes wide behind his glasses. "Dude, what happened?"

Kingsley's face burned with embarrassment.

Just then, Lilian appeared, her irritated gaze fixed on Kingsley's shirt. "Look at you," she said, disgust lacing her voice.

Kingsley pushed her away, climbed onto his sports bike, and sped out of the school premises, leaving the chaos behind.

As Kingsley sped away from the school, he couldn't shake off the humiliation. Meanwhile, Lilian watched him leave, a mix of concern and frustration etched on her face.

Lilian, a childhood friend of the k3's, had grown up alongside Kingsley, Kyle, and Kelvin. Her family, too, was wealthy and influential. However, Lilian's feelings for Kingsley went beyond friendship. She had harbored a secret crush on him for years.

Despite her efforts, Kingsley remained oblivious to her emotions. Lilian tried her best to capture his attention, always perfectly groomed and stylish, but Kingsley never noticed.

Their friendship had become a double-edged sword for Lilian. She cherished the bond they shared, yet longed for something more. Kingsley's recent encounter with Summer only fueled her frustration.

"Why can't he see me?" Lilian wondered, her heart aching.

Determined to make Kingsley notice her, Lilian vowed to try harder. She would not give up, no matter how long it took.

As she walked back to her classmates, Lilian's resolve strengthened. Today's events only fueled her determination.

"I'll make him see me," she whispered to herself.
